I didn't say it was. I said it was being critical of thinking, including your own. According to Wikipedia, "several different definitions exist, which generally include the rational, skeptical, unbiased analysis, or evaluation of factual evidence." Does that sound like you? Aren't you the one who says that all evidence has to be seen in the context of the Bible?

That's in the neighbourhood of the placebo effect, isn't it? If you think the pill is working, you do feel better. But similarly, if you make up your mind that the medical treatment isn't going to work, you're making up your mind to not feel better.

Watch out for confirmation bias.
