Because "science" is not the only way that we make choices.
I would certainly agree that some people make irrational, unreasonable, and illogical choices.
Not everything in life is evident.
The problem is that some people ignore what is evident because of their unevidenced beliefs.

Answering your questions Phat
In this topic, I want to again bring up some basic questions regarding the difference between faith and science.
What constitutes valid evidence? (In regards to both Faith & Belief and Science Forums) Is valid evidence the same for both science and faith?
Must Faith have evidence?
We know that science requires evidence.
Phat as a scientist and creationist, I like to answer questions rather than duck and hode from them like evolutionists do.
So allow me to answer your queries and sometimes false assumptions HEREIN. If that is allowed and if it wont be censored.
To start with, you separating FAITH and SCIENCE is a false assumption on your part, SCIENCE and FAITH (if you mean Christianity) does not have to be separate, as the Creator would obviously have known science as He created all things, so your opening assumption is rather vaque, as well as the obvious contradiction that Faith in evolution also makes your label of FAITH rather misleading as evolutionists have FAITH in their evolution doctrine.
Anyway, lets not get stuck on your opening assumption but go to discussing it or rejecting it.
What constitutes valid evidence? (In regards to both Faith & Belief and Science Forums) Is valid evidence the same for both science and faith?
Answer Yes, the same.... test and prove things for yourself. Faith in Jesus is proveable, mentally, rationally and of course personally by EXPERIENCE. The same as His SCIENCE
(PS Evolution can not be tested and has no proofs... color change and inbreeding do not count as proofs as mentioned earlier)
***************************
Must Faith have evidence?
We know that science requires evidence.
Answer absolutely Yes, you have to test Jesus, test out his principles and see if they work.
test, test, test...
same as with His Science.. no difference.
The more you test and experience, the more FAITH you get and step by step you get stronger and wiser and more intelligent and spiritual.
************************
Faith is often personal. Should people of faith be allowed to get angry when their beliefs are challenged? How should creationists defend their faith and still represent science?
Is It Science, please
Answer, Yes both sides should not get angry and censor and delete and ban... they should not get angry and frustrated.
Evolutionists should be able to stand behind thier theory and explain it without getting angry. But as can be seen, they do.... because they are not used to answering questions, and so attack personally, the mesenger rather than the message.
Its just science and facts, and yet because of their shallow understanding or their religious faith in their evolutionary theory they get quite upset. Dont you agree,
Therefore they ask the overseers to ban and limit the opposition so that it doesnt cast doubt on their theory.

Evolution is not science. It did not create life nor did it diversify life. It didn;t create the laws that exist nor did it create science. It is a religion and not Science.
Intelligent design always defeats evolutions lack of design and lack of intelligence. Luck and Chance is not a scientific doctrine,

Re: Answering your questions Phat
Faith and religion are the exact opposite of science.
Faith and religion rely on unevidenced beliefs and vacuous claims, while science relies on tested evidence.
Your posts provide a perfect example of the difference.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.
Belief gets in the way of learning--Robert A. Heinlein
In the name of diversity, college student demands to be kept in ignorance of the culture that made diversity a value--StultisTheFool
It's not what we don't know that hurts, it's what we know that ain't so--Will Rogers
If I am entitled to something, someone else is obliged to pay--Jerry Pournelle
If a religion's teachings are true, then it should have nothing to fear from science...--dwise1
"Multiculturalism" demands that the US be tolerant of everything except its own past, culture, traditions, and identity.
Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other points of view--William F. Buckley Jr.

Christianity does not. I grant that even some Christians think so but it doesn't. The Bible is full of evidence, and it was given so that people would believe. You have to call all the witnesses liars to reject the evidence given. That's the only way you can claim that the belief is unevidenced, after you've destroyed the evidence.
Faith and religion rely on unevidenced beliefs and vacuous claims, while science relies on tested evidence.
There wouldn't be any experimental science if it weren't for Christianity. The first experimental scientists were Christians, who were inspired by the presentation of rational laws given by a rational God.
Many Christians oppose evolution and the old earth but nothing else in science, nothing in the hard sciences. Evolution and the old earth cannot be proved because the past can't be proved; even your dating methods have to be assumed and can't be proved. Unfortunately the adherence to the false beliefs of the historical sciences skews the understanding of the facts.

Then answer my question: How do you test creationism? List the experiments done and the results.

Fiction is not evidence. Nobody is calling James Bond a liar. He's a fictional character making fictional statements, like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, etc.
