Bump for TripleA345
Bump.
Note: the book is subtitled "A Scientist's Search For Common Ground Between God And Evolution".
This is an evolution side book, written by a Christian biology professor. I think I've even encountered creationists who think well of this book.
Check upstring, and also, I suggest reading the book itself.

Bump for ID man
I strongly recommend Miller's book, as a Christian biologist evolutionist's perspective on the evolution vs. creation debate. Included is his discussion of Behe's ideas.

Miller not a theistic evolutionist
In Intelligent Design is NOT Creation[ism], Miller's being a theistic evolutionist is being argued.
In message 31, MrHambre says:
quote:
I admire the way he takes great pains to distance himself from 'theistic evolutionists,' since he won't ascribe intention to the admittedly hit-or-miss history of life on earth. I also respect his forthright denial that he could believe in a God who destroyed 99% of all the species He supposedly created,...
I'll also repoint out Miller's article here.

Ken Miller on Intelligent Design at YouTube

I've only watched the very beginning. The whole thing apparently runs almost 2 hours.

Kenneth Miller / Phillip Johnson debate
NOVA Online/Odyssey of Life/How Did We Get Here? A Cyber Debate
Giving credit where credit is due, I found the above via Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.
In general, that site has quite a repository of resources. See the column at the left of the page.

Miller responds to Jerry Coyne's critique
I discovered this via Pharyngula: Coyne on the compatibility of science and religion
Jerry Coyne's article Seeing and Believing is a critique of the books Saving Darwin: How to be a Christian and Believe in Evolution by Karl W. Giberson and Only A Theory: Evolution and the Battle for America's Soul by Kenneth R. Miller.
Miller's response is Thoughts of an "Ardent Theist," or Why Jerry Coyne is Wrong.
I fully confess, I haven't yet fully read the above cited material, much less the Giberson and Miller books in question. But I thought I'd put this out for whatever reference value it might have (a "Links and Information" type message).

Live with Ken Miller (1 hour video)
Found via The laziest professor in the world!
An hour long talk by Ken Miller, apparently in front of a class(?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xR3STMwneus&feature=youtu.be
I only watched a bit so far - Miller talking about debating Henry Morris. Seems to be a pretty interesting video if you have an hour needing filling.
Added note: I've rediscovered that Percy has another Ken Miller Book Nook topic:
Only a Theory: Evolution and the Battle for America's Soul by Ken Miller
