Re: Forum being slow
Slow, just like 24 hours ago. Some timeouts.

Forum being totally unresponsive
Starting at somewhere in the vicinity of 8:00pm (US Eastern) Saturday the 14th, the forum was totally inaccessible for at least 2 hours (wasn't keeping close track, could have easily been 4 hours).
The evcforum.net home page would respond just fine, as would some of the links there, such as the glossaries. But nothing directly connected to the forum would work.

Getting a lot of 503 messages for a bit
As of 10:40pm (eastern US) I was getting nothing but 503 messages.
Now, 10:49pm, everything seems back to good.

There is a "delete cookies" at the "Your CP"
"Your CP" is where you can edit your profile. The "delete cookies" is way down at the bottom.
Of course, you need to be logged in to do it.
I presume that only deletes the evcforum.net cookies.

Re: Ha ha ha ha!!
Now you've got me addicted to the "Do Nothing Button".
Quite a while back, I first noticed the "Do Nothing Button" malfunctioning when using Chrome at work. More recently it worked fine when using Firefox, but now it there is also is failing to do nothing.

Re: Change to URLs in Messages
I've found that this new "feature" sometimes results in a text display I don't like. Sometimes "the actual title of the webpage" is worse than just seeing the URL.

Re: Change to URLs in Messages
Quirk I just noticed at here.
When I first posted the EvC Forum: General Discussion Of Moderation Procedures (aka 'The Whine List') link there, it displayed as being the topic name. A bit later it would only display as the URL.
We shall see if it does the same thing here - doing a "preview".
OK, in "preview" it shows up as the topic name - Will "submit" and see what happens.
Moose
Added by edit - after "submit" the link shows up a the URL, not the topic title. Maybe at the other location, I was only seeing the topic title in "preview". But the preview while I'm doing this ABE shows the topic title. Clicking "preview" again, it again shows the topic title. It will probably only show URL after "submit".
Added by edit 2 - Now it's showing up as the topic title after "submit". Keeps on showing up as such after multiple refreshes, and even a close and reopen.
