Back on October 6, 2013 an automated survey at Palomar Observatory in California captured images of a new Super Nova. We can say with near certainty that the object changed. This is an observed change, direct evidence of an event taking place in reality in time.
The star that went super nova is located over 160 million light years from earth.
Is there any other explanation that can explain what was seen and documented other than that the event happened 160 million years ago?
Dates & Dating as a suggested location.

Nitpick: Should be light years instead of miles?

I hope so. If not we are in for a world of hurt.
Actually I think we would have been already.

Yes. The Flood, which happened a few thousand years ago, changed the constant c universally.

The Flood, which happened a few thousand years ago, changed the constant c universally.
It would certainly have made it bigger and wetter....

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Don't laugh. One of our local famous YEC creationists, a mechanical engineer by trade, preaches that "science says that the Big Bang occured in a wet Primodal Soup"and that the Global Flood changed it all, again. The fundies hang onto his lips and basically worship him. He's a scientist!

Has anyone ever asked him the obvious question: how could a flood on one planet affect c in distant galaxies?

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." — Albert Einstein
I am very astonished that the scientific picture of the real world around me is very deficient. It gives us a lot of factual information, puts all of our experience in a magnificently consistent order, but it is ghastly silent about all and sundry that is really near to our heart, that really matters to us. It cannot tell us a word about red and blue, bitter and sweet, physical pain and physical delight; it knows nothing of beautiful and ugly, good or bad, God and eternity. Science sometimes pretends to answer questions in these domains, but the answers are very often so silly that we are not inclined to take them seriously. — Erwin Schroedinger

Nobody can ask questions, as it is published in his books. Like any good creationist does. No questions allowed.
But, the short answer from his books (translated) goes something like this: "...like the global flood also affected the assumptions involved in radioactive decay rates".
