So somebody else touched JonBenet but the family is still suspect? Come on. That's like saying that evidence for evolution is not evidence against creationism.
That kind of evidence might implicate someone, but it is dubious as evidence to clear any particular person or persons.

The family is still suspect because the case has not been solved.
The DNA evidence used to clear them is suspect for various reasons the main one being the department chose to drop down to 4 genetic markers rather than the standard at the time of 13. And the unreliability of using touch DNA in a case where the crime scene was completely contaminated. The family is still suspect because the intruder theory does not pass the smell test and just about all involved in the investigation believed it was contrived. The family is still suspect because Burke had motive, means, and opportunity to commit this crime and his parents had motive means and opportunity to cover it up for him. The family is still suspect because they were not charged even though in 2013 it was revealed the grand jury did in fact come back with a motion to indite them, yet the DA at the time refused to charge them. redundant.
Edited by NoNukes, : Already answered Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Goodness gracious. And that guy can vote? I hope that I'm more closely related to Chimps than to that complete idiot. At least some Chimps are relatively intelligent.

We seem to be operating on completely different sets of facts. I would have said that the family theory doesn't pass the smell test and Burke had neither motive nor means. The family is still suspect because the intruder theory does not pass the smell test and just about all involved in the investigation believed it was contrived. But maybe you know something I don't know.

You could convince a grand jury to indict Napoleon for killing Jesus. The DA refused to prosecute because there was no case. ... the grand jury did in fact come back with a motion to indite them, yet the DA at the time refused to charge them. The whole thing reminds me of "Who shot JFK?" and "Did we really put a man on the moon?". It's just a rehash of the same old nonsense.

Ringo writes: Burke had neither motive nor means. Burke's motive was jealousy. It is a fact that he did smear his feces over JBR bed and toys and chocolates 24 hrs before the murder. It is a fact that he has in the past, hit his sister in the face with a golf club. It has been reported by other family friends that Burke did have anger issues. Burke's means is that he had the physical strength as a 9 year old to inflict a fatal blow to his 6 year old sisters head with a heavy blunt object (Maglight matches the open fracture in victims skull). He also had access to the murder weapon. Burke's opportunity is that he was in the house at the time the crime occurred and has no alibi of being elsewhere. If this is not enough to warrant suspicion I don't know what is."You were not there for the beginning. You will not be there for the end. So there's no actual evidence, just suspicion. Classical conspiracy theory.

Hi Ringo, I wont spoon feed you all the evidence and particulars of this case. There is enough of that available online for you to read if you are interested.
I will say that the DA at the time torpedoed this investigation from the start by refusing to issue search warrants, providing the Ramsey's ahead of their interviews with transcripts of the police reports, which is unheard of. In addition, the Bolder Police's fecklessness in failing to secure the crime scene and forensics incompetence in gathering evidence. The lead investigator resigned the case after the DA alluded that the decision not to charge was a "political decision." If it is a conspiracy theory it is one founded on the idea that white rich privilege has poisoned our justice system in this instance. Given the particulars of how this crime was investigated it is not a forgone conclusion imo. So paint me as a conspiracy theorist loon if you like, don't mind a bit. It seems to also be a common ploy to discredit someone with legitimate criticisms.

Yes, there's often a conspiracy to discredit conspiracy theorists. Funny how that works.

~1.6 does have a point in that the Ramseys were treated differently from the average case.
