I think Percy is traveling. Maybe he and Obama need to come back from vacation before ISIS overruns Ferguson and the internet explodes.
Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. before I started typing up every single reply into Notepad and then pasting them into the text box for submission. I was using the Notepad technique for a while. I found that some browsers retain your messages when you hit back and others do not. I am currently using Chrome exclusively and I don't lose messages anymore. Even if I close a tab in the middle of typing a message, if I reopen the tab, the text is there. Perhaps there is some setting that turns this behavior on and off, but I've quit using Notepad for now.Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. I am still experiencing 503s this morning.
I found the advice about adding RAM a bit curious. How can your host tell what resource is lacking? And hasn't your machine held up well in the past under much higher loading?Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. When trying to read messages or submit a post I am frequently getting time out messages suggesting a busy site or maintenance. Perhaps the issue has to do with my own section of the internet, but I am not having trouble accessing other sites.
If you could just confirm that there don't seem to be any problems on your end, that would be useful information for me. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Same for me all day. I finally gave up trying to post anything. But now it's quite zippy. Somebody must have fixed it. I noticed a bit of an improvement shortly after posting my message. Please let us know if these repeated reports are counter-productive. I am currently experiencing repeated 503 messages (starting at 5:16 EST). I don't seem to have any trouble accessing static pages, but it took several attempts for me to reach this forum to post this message.

These kinds of attacks don't bring any benefit to the hacker, unless their goal is to make a website unresponsive. Not meaning to stoke any paranoia, but an evolution/creationist debate site might well be target worthy to some folks.
