1:45 PDT Service Temporarily Unavailable. Same thing happened about an hour ago. Sometimes it's very slow, but sometimes faster, even within this same hour.

Could be what's been happening to me
This might be what I've been experiencing for months now. I finally tracked down the cause to having had more than one EvC page open at the same time., especially if one is logged in and the other one isn't. Clue: Before posting a message, check to see if your name is listed as online AND it says "Login" rather than "Logout" on the top line. If it does you're going to get booted off again to the login page. I asked about this some time ago and was told to clear cookies. That does nothing. But if I log in and then out a series of times, with a final logout, and then reboot, I'm usually OK until I make the mistake of opening two pages again, which for some reason happens from time to time. Best to have a standing policy of copying every message before posting it so you won't lose it. Sorry if this doesn't explain your problem. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

I get logged out a lot and it's always when my name is in the Online Now list but the top line says "login" rather than "logout" though apparently I don't have the right explanation for it. But deleting cookies never made a difference. only logging in and out until something resets.

OK, I logged in again, checked the Remember box, then went to my profile and deleted cookies, then logged in again. I'll not restrict opening many pages, and we'll just see what happens. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

OK, nothing has changed since I reset everything and I just now lost a message when I tried to post it, got sent to the Login page. Sure enough, the top line said I was not logged in although my name was listed as "online now." I took a screen shot for evidence (I think) but I don't know how to post it. Microsoft Edge I'd get logged out and sent to the Login page but my name would still be in the Online Now list. And logging in again does not automatically post the message, it's just lost. Yes it's weird. ABE: Of course I couldn't even have access to a message box if I weren't logged in, right? Which is why it is such a shock to be sent to the Login page when I try to post the message. Beneath Cookies there is no code like what you list, just Service Workers Cache

Don't give out any information about your password cookie - malicious people probably know how to fake cookie values on their own system and log on as you. How would I recognize my password cookie?

Those fields actually expand. If you hover your mouse over the vertical lines at the top of the columns you'll get a little horizontal double arrow that you can drag to make the field wider so you can see the entire value. You can also drag the edges of the pane and make the entire pane larger. Did that. Five items on the list now say Tuesday Sept 24 2019 abe: By the way, if I was suddenly logged off because of an expired date why would my name continue to be on the Online Now list? It just happened again. I went to edit a post and got the login page. My name was in the Online Now list and the upper line said I was not logged in. Did look to see if there were any messages related to it and there weren't. Unfortunately I forgot to check the cookies. I'll do that now. ABE: all four items are listed for this date in 2019. I haven't yet done my usual series of logging in and out and it keeps recurring when I hit "edit," so I just log in again and so far it hasn't happened when I'm about to post a message. But I'm copying all of them just in case. abe: this time I saw the usual situation at the top of the board and when I came to edit this message there was no "edit" button, so although it said I was online I was treated as logged out.
