medical marijuana and thrips
None of this has anything to do with the topic of this thread, Marijuana.
It is related in a tangential way
Page non trouve - BuyDutchSeeds
quote:
... They have bodies that are shaped like a cigar, pointed butts and six legs. Thrips measure approximately 1/20th of an inch in length and their color varies from a light to a dark brown. They have wings that are narrow with fringe that gives them the appearance of a feather.
The damage to the plants is evident by the scars the insects leave behind. This damage may appear as bronze or silver markings or streaks on the stems or the leaves. ...
So Faith should ask her neighbor if his plants have such signs.
One of my growers got infested and he burned his whole crop and threw out the containers that he used to grow in, and then started over.
Sort of a scorched earth solution, but one thing he likes to do is be able to guarantee to his users that there are no infestations on his grow -- we are talking people with weakened immune systems and struggling health already, and we don't need to add stress.
Chemistry is not the topic either.
What, you never heard about living better through chemistry?
In the meantime the boraxo may sooth the itchy feeling whatever the cause.
Enjoy

Re: medical marijuana and thrips
Thanks. I wasn't going to post any more on this thread but I want to answer you:
Is "boraxo" the same thing as Borax? I've looked for these things in the store but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.
My brother also remembers our father using boric acid as an eyewash.
I want to get the borax or boraxo and the yellow sticky traps HBD mentioned. If those traps don't catch anything THEN I'll consider that I'm hallucinating.
Meanwhile, I DID see those tiny little bugs crawling up my window glass a few weeks ago, those were not invisible or hallucinated, just so tiny I wouldn't have seen them if the sun wasn't shining on the glass, and wouldn't have considered them to be alive if they hadn't been moving.
I don't get out often enough even to go around the building and talk to my neighbor, but my brother is coming down next week and maybe I can get him to ask him if he's growing the stuff etc.

Re: something completely different
None of this has anything to do with the topic of this thread, Marijuana.
Faith said her neighbor smokes pot and that she is infested with invisible ankle biters. There is no relationship between her neighbor's pot and her invisible bugs.
Well, if my neighbor is growing marijuana plants and they have thrips, since his smoke gets into my place and so presumably could tiny bugs, and that's what those tiny little hair-like bugs on my window were, then I've probably got them too and I am not hallucinating.
Here's a site that describes thrips as biting humans:
Thrips: Elimination and Biology of Biting Thrip Infestations
And a Google page on the subject:

How to Bug Your Neighbor by Growing Marijuana
I'm on topic. The topic is recreational marijuana and if my neighbor is growing it, which he must be because he wouldn't be living here if he could afford to buy the amount he smokes, this is an opportunity to discuss another side of recreational marijuana use: smoke getting into neighbors' apartments -- which fortunately doesn't bother me -- and bugs too -- which do bother me.
And did you notice that there was a series of posts about how women dress on this thread that really did have nothing to do with the topic?
You could get the topic back to where you want it easily enough by just posting on it instead of wasting time complaining about this little digression which would have been over if you'd ignored it.

In the context of recreational marijuana, how women dress--if they must--is intensely relevant.
Bugs, too. Not the way they dress, though, that's just sick.
I hope that brings closure to everyone.

Really? You have some kind of problem with bugs dressing like women? Or women dressing like women? You have some fear of transvestites, Omni?
These intolerant attitudes are just intolerant. They are biased and hurtful and should be vigorously opposed. They show no respect for the insecta or the human right to self-expression, self-identity, through choice of clothing.
While my personal preferences vis-a-vis women is that less is preferable, and their dressing like an insect is personally disturbing, their right to dress so without expressions of bias from male-privileged society must be maintained. Same with the tetrapoda-privileged attitudes towards arthropods.
As for topic? I really don't give a flyin' flip. Such bias and intolerance must be opposed whenever, wherever, they are expressed.

I see right through you, buddy. Wearing the skirts of buggy-love, you actually defend the objectifying suzerainty of the poly-footed gaze.
What about my friends? So slick, so sinuous, so sweet...

What about MY friends? So fat, so lumpy, so wrinkly, so OLD? Somehow I don't think that's the sort of undressed woman y'all are talking about.
Aha! Gotcha both.
(ABE: It's kind of a clunker though. I'd take it back if it hadn't got so many Cheers. Slug shaming was funny. I don't think this was. Oh well.)
