Evidently the end of civilization as we know it means our coastal cities will be inundated by tidal waves and the Empire State Building will become shorter but more massive (AbE: Whoops - forgot to note that it also means that rivers will produce tsunamis, since that tidal wave is crashing ashore from either the Hudson River or the East River):
