set theory
Just because someone invents a classification doesn't mean I belong to it, you blokes can't agree on what a freakin species is yet.
It's how set theory works as a way of seeing if things are related.
We can apply the same system in genetics.
It's the simple basics of cladistics.

Re: Ape-tooth monkeys
No your point is pretty clear. You claim that we see commonalities between various species because they were all designed by the same being. You claimed it was something human manufacturers do. My point is that human manufacturers do this because they are limited in resources and imagination. Supposedly your god is without limits, so why would he get lazy and reuse design elements?

Gap-toothed creationists
I don't have letters after my name as an excuse for intellectual immorality
No you are doing very well all on your own. I note that the topic here is
Why "YEC" Creationism is BAD for America
And you just keep proving that creationism is bad, intellectually and morally stunted.
Keep it up. I couldn't hope for a better example.

Listen pal, you think everything we behold happened by at least 100 trillion chance accidents circa 13,7 billion years ago, that makes you completely whacked out of your gourde in my opinion, it certainly doesn't make you a scientist, science fiction comedian yes.

You started the ad hom iif I recall when you insulted my intellectual capacity to understand your beloved religion, hey, just like atheists can read the bible and then wipe their asses on it, we can read "science " too.

Re: Ape-tooth monkeys
How do I explain that bones are similar in species? Lol, we'll we know how you explain it and it's patently ridiculous
You didn't provide an answer to my post.
Why are the bones so strikingly similar among all the primates?
And please provide some detail to your answer. This is a Science Forum, so supporting one's position with evidence is appropriate.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.
Belief gets in the way of learning--Robert A. Heinlein
How can I possibly put a new idea into your heads, if I do not first remove your delusions?--Robert A. Heinlein
It's not what we don't know that hurts, it's what we know that ain't so--Will Rogers
If I am entitled to something, someone else is obliged to pay--Jerry Pournelle
If a religion's teachings are true, then it should have nothing to fear from science...--dwise1

Re: Ape-tooth monkeys
The forum is evolution verses creation and creation itself my friend, whether you like it or not based on all observations we know off would suggest something created it, and the more amazing the creation, the more intelligent we assume the creator, further more, all science we know of would suggest that big bangs create big messes, not things of wonder and beauty, so dont come off with "this is a science forum" please, I would expect a scientific creationist model to be welcome here as a part of the so called debate, if not, kindly remove the word creation from the title of your little science club and I dare say intelligent folk like me will stop turning up.

Re: Ape-tooth monkeys
If you do have an actual scientific creation model, then do please present it forthwith.
If, however, you wish to present a form of lawyer Wendell Bird's travesty (DWISE1'S CREATION / EVOLUTION PAGE: The Creation Model), then do please try again with something at least remotely valid.
This is indeed a science forum. Please look at the chain:
quote:
EvC Forum ⇒ All Forums ⇒ Science Forums ⇒ Creation/Evolution Miscellany ⇒ Why "YEC" Creationism is BAD for America
It says right there that this is a science forum. If there is any part of that that you still do not understand, then do please post the appropriate question.
If you do not understand basic cosmology described as "Big Bang" -- a disparaging moniker that gained popular usage -- then feel free to ask and become informed.
... intelligent folk like me ...
Sorry, but you have posted far more than ample material to indicate otherwise.
Your bad.

Re: Ape-tooth monkeys
Oh I see it's a science forum, you scientists aren't very nice people as far as I can tell and you all seem to think you are so very very smart, tell you want, since you all like to remind me how inept I am, why don't you tell me wtf the creationist model is, huh, throw me a freaked bone here einstiens, or can I call you Albert. I'm getting mightily unimpressed with the attitude of you science fiction comedians one of your brothers told me privately there are a lot of nice people here and I should stop stirring shit. Lol. Evolution versus creation, is that the name of this skull humping dive or not, yeah, I think it is, wtf is the creation part then, ???"??????????"?????????? Anyone? Also is creation forced in schools in yank land or not and if so what sort of creation and if not what the hell is bad for yank land again? Hey I'm not a scientist, help a monkey out

Re: set theory
I learned a new word from your esteemed leader, called gish galloping, smarty pants told me to google it, it means, "sorry you have presented far too much evidence in this thread and if we let it though we are basically stuffed, so sorry we aren't going to post it, is that cool with you?" Then he closed by saying now if you don't mind I'm off to do some actual work that people pay me for, yeah that's from the lovely chap who runs the show here, scientists, lol.
