I use SPYWARE BLASTER to stop and disable spyware. There is a free download at:

You can choose to pay a nominal fee to have automatic updates, or you can do manual updates on your own time.
I also use GLARY REGISTRY REPAIR to remove unused or malicious entries in your registry files (do not attempt to do this yourself as you can really mess things up). This too is a free download:

Make sure your "popup blocker" is turned on in FF
If that doesn't fix it then see a professional.

Why doesn't my McAfee program catch all these things? I pay money for that.
McAfee catches viruses not malware.
