Where do you get the idea that the Earth in the Bible, is the center of the universe?
doctrbill writes:
I take it from your response that you are not well versed in the Bible; and that, despite your assertion that I 'nailed it' with regard to the ancient science of Genesis, haven't a clue regarding the implications of that world view.
Being well versed in the Bible does not matter right now, it is irrelevent, we are discussing the creation account, But I suppose the claim that "christians" of the "world" preach that the Bible creation account teaches that the Earth is the center of the universe is relevent. So for the recrod: Please doctrbill, present the proof that all christians of the world claim to profess that the Bible creation account claims that the earth is the center of the universe, If you cannot do that then show me in the Bible where it claims that the Earth is the Center of the universe. Regarding my "nailed it comment" I also put a "I think" in front of that.

You have no evidence that there is no God,
doctrbill writes:
Of course not. There are no negative proofs. Besides, I did not assert that there is no God. I simply said that the concept of God is man made. There is a difference.
No Difference, LOL. Moving on.

and also no evidence that the God of the bible is not the God
doctrbill writes:
And whom, or what, pray tell, is "the God of the bible"?
doctrbill I dont have anyclue, does it look like I am a prophet?

If you think their are problems with the Bible please lay out those problems one by one in a thread by thread basis, and make sure you keep the thread together, dont allow garbage to creap in.
doctrbill writes:
I do not think there are problems with the Bible, I know there are. These problems have been laid out in great detail, and in numerous threads, here in this forum. All one need do is look around a bit and she/he will find them. I do not participate much in those discussions because the controversy is often rooted in ignorance on both sides of the aisle. If you have not yet resolved to yourself that the Bible is a work of man then nothing I can say will amount to a hill of beans in your ear.
No, I dont profess the Bible is true or false, I am a thiestic evolutionst, meaning: I favor both evolution and god, I think they can co exist in truth currently(i.e. if the bible be the truth then so be it but I wont go into offense just because I may not believe it, I simply want to see what it has to say before I disagree or form a opinion, I dont go forming opinions then reading it, as that would not help me find truth. You see most people go directly to the offensive when it comes to the Bible because it lays the law, such as most children get mad when their parents lay the law. Anyways, that is why most people are on the defense when it comes to the Bible and as such I would expect you to come up with all kinds of ideas to try and say why it is incorrect.
Moving on, back to the creation mumbo, anyone have anything in regards to post 13 besides mumbo about how christians claim that the earth is the center of the universe or if you have something on that issue then speak it.
