Is God one or three?

God is one.
For sure.We all bow down to this god of the living sooner or later, because death is inevitable.
And, by our behaviors, we can even chance making life shorter by ignoring this God which is the mysterious force behind the Change which unfolds the next frame of the Reality which sires Truth.But it is the grace of this Reality, that Truth is necessarily sired in it's wake.
Truth is light and the way into the sanity of living with and co-existing in Reality.
Truth saves us from the insanity of creating Fantasy Worlds which Reality will destroy ,sooner or later for us, as if jealous of the competition. What has always confused the Jews here was, that for man, Truth is total and absolutely indistinguishable from Reality.Man has the ability to see the face of Truth, but never the actual face of Reality.Hence Truth is the interlocutor or High Priest go-between for man. Truth speaks for the god, Reality, and saves us from the error of lies about the facts of life.Edited by kofh2u, : No reason given.

Hi EliyahuHere is my understanding as a Christian of how the notion of there being One God holds true for Christianity as well as Judaism. There is one God, God the Father. In the Book of John he starts it out as talking about in the beginning was the "Word" and so on. Jesus then was the incarnate "Word of God". Just as the ancient Jews unerstood Yahweh as being incarnate in the Temple Christians understood Yahweh as being incarnate in Jesus, through His Holy Spirit.Jesus was Jewish. Jesus prayed the Psalms and prayed to the Father who was of course Yahweh. It is Christian belief that Jesus
ascended to the Father and fulfilled the role of the "Son of Man" as per Daniel 7.In a very real sense Christianity is truly a Jewish sect but we just haven't quite come to an agreement yet on the messianic thing. There is so much more that brings us together that there is that separates us.May Yahweh bless you.

Except for the "Y-H-W-H" part instead of "Johovah" I could buy into that.

That and the fact that the OP is pretty much a one trick pony. I think the overwhelming majority of his posts are about either the Trinity or Jesus being a false Messiah. I don't think JW's are likely to bother with the later.
