Re: formatting a long post
Perhaps you could help me with something. How does one go about copying internet info. that is beyond this evc forum and citing it in a reply to augment (beyond the type it verbatum mode)? And how about establishing a website reference in a reply text that can be clicked by a reader in order to offer further info? If you can help with this, thanks a lot.

Re: formatting a long post
The easiest way to figure out how to do things is to find someone who's already done it, and click the edit button on their post - it'll let you see what they typed, but not change it.
To answer this question, to link to another URL:
< A HREF="http://some.url.com/blahblahblah.html"> Insert Your Description Here!< /A >

"Illuminant light,
illuminate me."

Re: formatting a long post
When you're replying to a message (like right now, click on the reply button at the bottom of this message), you'll notice a few links to the left of the message box where you type your message. One of them is for HMTL (which is what Rei suggested), another is for UBB codes, which tend to be a little simpler than HTML, plus they provide a couple different quoting styles and miscellaneous other things.

Re: formatting a long post
Thanks for the information. And that editing option to view exactly what people typed sounds like a great idea.

Re: formatting a long post
Thank you, and I'll check out that UBB thing--if it's simpler, that's the one for me.
