Well, look, it hasn't escaped my notice that every one of you, with the exception of Chicken, are known liars. Every single one of you has made this a personal vendetta against me. Why should I be surprised to see you feigning ignorance in order to contradict me?
From here.
Accusation of personal vendettas and calling other participants liars does not seem to be in keeping with treating other members with respect.

The human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion (either as being the received opinion or as being agreeable to itself) draws all things else to support and agree with it.
- Francis Bacon
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - John Rogers
A world that can be explained even with bad reasons is a familiar world. But, on the other hand, in a universe suddenly divested of illusions and lights, man feels an alien, a stranger. His exile is without remedy since he is deprived of the memory of a lost home or the hope of a promised land. This divorce between man and his life, the actor and his setting, is properly the feeling of absurdity. — Albert Camus
"...the pious hope that by combining numerous little turds of
variously tainted data, one can obtain a valuable result; but in fact, the
outcome is merely a larger than average pile of shit." Barash, David 1995.

Please, do detail all of the personal attacks I've made in that thread. Please, feel free to quote them.
Perhaps I should look through all of your posts in that thread as well, so we can see how many times you accused other participants of not simply being wrong, but of being liars.
I have absolutely no fear of moderator action in that thread.

"Selective vision" being a form of intellectual dishonesty; Rahvin is literally calling me a liar here.
I believe that, to have literally called you a "liar," I would have needed to actually use the word "liar."
"Selective vision" is more synonymous with "confirmation bias;" I am not in any way accusing you of being intentionally deceptive, which is what the word "liar" actually means, but am instead suggesting to you that your arguments stem from cognitive bias.
It's rather like pointing out a logical fallacy. We do that here, on a debate forum.
For my own part, I apologize that Rahvin's repeated provocations caused me to post a single, intemperate response in a post addressed to someone else.
How passive-aggresive.
In any case: Mods, I don't necessarily agree with the lack of action, but as this isn't a debate thread, I'll stop participating in this exchange.

Perhaps ad hominem attacks suggestive of pedophilia...
...go a bit too far over the line.

Since I wasn't ever talking about fucking children, I'm just wondering which kids Panda wants to fuck. He'll have to tell me; fucking children isn't my thing. Whatever works for him, though.

Right. You're being persecuted. You totally didn't accuse a poster of being a pedophile in the classic tradition of "exactly when did you stop beating your wife."
Just shut up and let the admins make their call.

but the Morality without god thread seems to be on a fairly even keel.
Well, except for the fact that Faith adamantly refuses to provide evidence to support even a single assertion after such being requested several times. Wasn't there a Forum Guideline about that? I think it was this one:
quote:
Points should be supported with evidence and reasoned argumentation. Address rebuttals through the introduction of additional evidence or by enlarging upon the argument. Do not repeat previous points without further elaboration. Avoid bare assertions.
Every single post she makes is a bare assertion.
