Third.
Sometimes it seems like a complete waste of time to discuss YEC/flood geology and I've pretty much exhausted my patience with it. So it's nice to see this happen every once in a while.

Re: Foreveryoung
FEY has continued to demonstrate some exemplary debating in that thread - he's demolished every one of Faith's arguments as she posts them, and he's been considerately polite the entire time. His own experience in abandoning the YEC position as hopelessly and irretrievably inaccurate is serving him very well in an encounter with someone who clings to demonstrably false beliefs...and even when Faith attempted a rather nasty ad hominem by telling FEY that he might as well "give up the Bible entirely" and told him he had "abandoned God's word," FEY simply continued to politely knock down her arguments. He didn't take the bait, he didn't go off topic, and he kept his cool, over a prolonged debate with one of the most frustrating opponents.
I can't say enough good things about his performance in that thread.

Indeed, this Flood is so incomparable to even large-scale "conventional" flooding that it seems to have magic properties.
And more.
Something like the anti-flood rant I've had rattling around in my mind for years, that I've never been able to pull together into a good message.
Alas, the topic seems to have a lot of good material by various authors, lost in an in general dubious topic. Even compliments to those of the creationist side, for their part in the effort.
Or something like that.

A very good post in an otherwise undistinguished thread (The war of atheism).

Thanks, Coyote.
I try to steer between my belief that more truth can be found inside an honest narrative than in abstractions and my reluctance to be an old man telling boring stories. It's good to hear I may have gotten one right.

Thanks, crash. I find far more to applaud in your posts than to critique. I hope it shows.

Re: Rahvin Knocks It Out Of The Park
While I don't for a moment believe I have the writing talent of the late, great Hitchens, thanks for the nomination!
And, um...grats on the godless erection?

I'm gonna tag-team this with you. I nominate him as well for that post.
Don't sell yourself short, Rahvin, just develop an accent and a drinking problem and you're just about Hitchens. Great post.

That is not an accent.
That is just how things sound when they are pronounced properly.

Third. And if I wasn't busy qs-in' my ass off because I was so encouraged that fey decided to engage rather than jeer, I'd've beaten you guys to it.
No, Rahvin, you're not late great Hitchens; you're early great Rahvin.
Way better.
AbE: Okay, fine, fourth.
AbE-2: Oh, well, engage and then jeer. Whatevs.
