Dark matter found between galaxies Dark Matter Filament Between Galaxy Clusters Found | Space using gravitional lensing.
Dark Matter Filament Studied in 3D for the First Time | ESA/Hubble Would light (photons) slow down going through these energies or would light bend around "dark matter" and follow its contours and nothing is where we believe (outside of our galaxy)?.HALL OF MIRRORS - SCATTERED PICTURES. If 80-90% of universe is "dark matter" and light does not interact but bends around "dark matter" there would be alot of bending, so are the galaxies where we really think they are? Which in turn would mean if we could ever fly through "dark matter" as the crow flys, could we reach a destination before light, that travels a long and winding path around the dark matter, which would be a long detour if dark matter makes up 80-90% of universe. Or does light slow down while passing through dark matter like it does through glass, retaininng its light speed once it as passed through? Would this also mean that neutrinos cannot travel faster than light but they can travel straighter than light, and pass through dark matter? Is there any real proof, light speed is constant between galaxies? Edited by sunshaker, : No reason given.

There is much guess work about the properties of "dark matter", from what i can deduce light does not interact with dark matter, We can only summise where it is by the effects of gravitational lensing, if this is correct, with the amount of estimated dark matter in our "local universe", i see the possibility of it being like a "Maze" where light enters at one destination and exits at another or multiple others, so we are almost never looking directly at distant galaxies,
Perhaps something like how a periscope works. Sometimes we need to think aloud, and see if we are missing something obvious, i have my picture of how it all fits together, but if i am wrong on parts of that picture it will not be a complete picture, so i would welcome any views on how dark matter effects "light". Or if you wished i could add this to my last postEvC Forum: Alpha-Omega universes in free fall Alpha-Omega universes in freefall. But i would prefere a new thread, as there are a few ideas i have about "dark matter" that i would like to ask those with a better idea than myself on sub atomic particles. As i said in my other thread, "I" believe "all" matter and energies came from "higher dimensional space" and we are expanding in "lower dimensional space" drawing in, infuseing our universe with lower d space as we continously expand,
Galaxies and star are in pockets of lower d space, and that is where we get the speed of light as a constant,But once we leave a "galaxy bubble" we enter the realms of higher d space (dark matter-energies), where as before light travelled with no resistance through lower d space, it cannot pass through these higher d energies and can only follow the path of lower d space around these dark matter energies. I was thinking as the universe continues to expand and we are infused with more lower d space, these dark matter-energies will continously be "pulled stretched" apart, allowing light and other energies to pass through? but not without some resistance.

I was also thinking, correct me if i am completely off track on this, That basically dark matter is a field of "ions", and as our universe continously expands it causes the ions to be electrcally charged and give of "gamma energy" which we see as these "gamma ray bursts", Seeding new areas of the universe with these new atoms.

There are many galactic clusters we are part of one, but there is space between each galaxy as there is space between each star in a galaxy, space is different within our solar bubble "heliopause", to the space between each star in a galaxy which is different to the space between galaxies, each is made up of varying degrees of lower and higher dimensional energies, light travels at a constant within our solar bubble as most dark matter as been almost completely infused with lower d space, but between stars in a galaxy there is more higher d energies (dark matter) and between galaxies there is even more, these dark matter energies are continously still being broken down as the universe expands drawing in lower d space, And as you say lights bends in "gravity wells" and follows a curved path, so depending where light is coming from and the path it as to take around untold gravity wells through different densities of space, can we be sure where anything is?

The ions in dark matter only have electrons when they have been electrically charged , this happens as the dark matter is pulled and stretched with the expanding universe, allowing lower d space to rush in, "washing" through dark matter collecting these newly charged particles and depositing them in pockets of lower d space(gamma ray bursts/ black holes), where stars and galaxies will eventually form.

I am not saying that gamma ray bursts are not associated with regular matter, a large percent are, but i do believe that "all" matter and energies(dark matter), first came from a higher dimension, which dropped into this lower d spaces and rapidly expanded, so all matter and energies used to be "dark matter",
when something rapidly expands there is a reaction, the result of this reaction is the matter and energies we now see, the universe is still expanding and the reactions are still going on, dark matter is the catalyst for new "regular matter".

To add another point,
As i see all matter and energies as being "higher dimensional" and the space we are expanding into as lower dimensional, So matter is always trying to fall in to its centre, collapsing in on its self, trying to get back to the higher d space, The energies that have been formed since the expansion electro magnetic forces-electrons are trying to expand everything, this creates opposeing forces, and a balance is found, this gives matter form. But it is only when there is enough mass of matter "The Omega" that it can tip the balance and collapse "fold" back into the higher dimension once again.

It is the expansion of dark matter that gives the charge.

As you may see i edited the link in on "hydrogen h" by paul marmet,
as somewhat of an after thought, as i found this part interesting, " In the case of molecular hydrogen, there is no dipole moment, so that no radiation can be absorbed or emitted". But also what i am saying "dark matter" is higher dimensional space, can you comprehend distance within this space, the distance of an electron in a hydrogen atom within this space would no longer apply, This dark energy is our universe, the space between is the "lower dimensional space" that fills our expanding universe, all matter and energies we see has its source from within this dark matter, All matter and energies are the result of the continuing expansion, the stretching of this "dark matter" by lower d space, Many continuous "Big Rips", These energies are then deposited by lower d space in pockets creating gravity wells, where stars/galaxies form. I see more of protons and neutrons closely packed together, being split between higher and lower space. I was watching about the tsunami in japan and could not help but think, how the water that washed through the citys, picking up cars and buildings and depositing all this rubble, reminded me of how lower d space worked,Rushing into our universe washing through and around dark matter, expanding space, stretching dark matter, creating energies, depositing these energies, in pockets of lower d space. Just a thought on your link http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~wright/tiredlit.htm Where it states,
"There is no known interaction that can degrade a photon's energy without also changing its momentum, which leads to a blurring of distant objects which is not observed". If like i mentioned earlier that we cannot really tell where anything is as light is always bending around dark matter, and other galaxies, could this refocus the blurring of said given objects. if you turn and look at your pc monitor in a mirror you will see a sharper more colourful screen. only a thought.

I think we can get to tied done in explainning the properties of dark matter, these properties are forever changing the more our universe expands, and will continnue changing,
dark matter expands with the expanding universe, when the expansion first began all matter and energies where compressed , from "our perspective" a tiny finite size, The first stage of rapid expansion created most of what we now see as matter and energies, as we continnue to expand the properties of dark matter change, whether we call these expanded particles, nucleons, ions, or hydrogen h, Different parts of the expansion will have different properties, But one thing most agree on is that there is something that most call "dark matter" that effects any direct observation, and can only be detected through the effects of gravitational lensing, So like i asked before is it possible that nothing we see is where we believe it to be, if light as to travel around all these gravity fields, before reaching us?

As i see it, light behaves in certain ways, as the Double Slit experiement shows,
So when light comes into contact with dark matter, it becomes both a wave and a particle, the wave is bent around the dark matter, which we see as gravitational lensing, but the particle will go through the dark matter, but will also leave our frame of reference, follow the particle and its speed would not change, only the space it travels through, it would eventually pass through dark matter, we would see this first as a red or blue shift as it slowly emerges(from our perspective), and continues on it way, Never knowing it had passed through any medium, where as the wave had passed around the dark matter thousands, millions, or billions of years before, depending upon the mass of the dark matter. Sorry NoNukes, i am afraid the math, will have to be left to those who have a "math mind",
i understand some math, but not enough, i am an ideas man, i read all i can find on many subjects, and from many great scientists and mathematicians who have spent there lives working on certain pieces of the bigger picture, We can now take all these pieces and put them together, We all have our part to play, All i put forward is how i have put these pieces together, this is just a small part of the picture which i am interested in at the moment, You could spend your whole life looking at the mechanics of a "piston" and never see the "engine" or the "vechicle" that engine belongs to, or what the purpose of the vechicle is. As for looking at your computer screen in a mirror, i was just trying to say that sometimes looking at something by direct sight does not always give you the best image. I cannot find anything that does not fit into how i see our local universe and beyond.
