Mythical Kings And Iguanas
I like this much better than the original, which was overproduced. A good song fucked up by a recording studio. Let's hear it done by one guy with a gravelly voice and a guitar.
There, that's much better, isn't it?

quote:
The Residents third album was released in 1976. The love/hate relationship the eyeball-ones have with pop music has, perhaps, never been better stated than in this scathingly satirical look at ‘60’s bubble-gum rock somehow twisted into shocking ‘70’s bubble-gum avant-garde. With a swift kick in the balls, the Residents leave rock and roll as fodder for tomorrows dough-brains.
8:35:27 — 2-11 — Residents — Hitler was a Vegetarian (from The Third Reich ‘N’ Roll)
8:53:47 — 2-12 — Residents — Beyond the Valley of a Day in the Life (from The Third Reich ‘N’ Roll)
8:57:15 — 2-13 — Margo Integer (John Oswald: Plunderphonics 69/96) — Btls
8:57:58 — 2-14 — Laurie Anderson / Ry Cooder (as processed by Patrick the Night Watchman Eller) — We Are Going Down Theme
8:59:38 — 2-15 — Naked City — Gob of Spit (from Grand Guignol)
All of hour 1 and parts of hour 2 consists of my overdubs of 2 tunes, usually 2 versions of the same tune. Many have no tweaking involved, but some do, including speed/pitch modifications.
There is a lot of detail to be heard. I suggest play it loud, maybe using headphones. Beware - At least some of the audio feeds are in mono. Maybe they all are. The engineer believes that a higher fidelity mono is better that a lower fidelity stereo.

I might be driving home from Superior about that time so hopefully I am still in range. I'll make sure to turn the feed on when I get home.

I am trying to post a youtube video and don't know how. I tried the peek version on peoples posts and it was extremely complicated. Surely you don't have to type all of that in?

Go to the youtube page, click the button under the video that says "share". Then click on the button which appears to the right of and below that button and which says "embed". Then copy the gibberish that appears and paste it into your post.

Here are two videos expressing very different musical tastes of mine. They certainly are not all encompassing of all of my musical tastes:
Youtube won't let me upload my other video which was "I disappear" by Metallica.

Post-Napster fags
I hate every and all Metallica after the Black album when they revealed their shitty corporate side.
Foreveryoung would like that crap. This is when they were still awesome:

If you liked Marc Ribot on Rain Dogs, you'll enjoy him backing up Marianne Faithfull.
