Similarly, I've heard British fundies reciting things that only make sense in the context of having a First Amendment, and not at all in a country in which Christianity is the official religion.You can see the same thing with the Freeman-On-The-Land movement: the magic words they recite to make their debts vanish are based on misunderstandings of American law, but they don't know it.

You may be right; but when the Tabletalk concurs exactly with statements made in public speeches and in Mein Kampf, it's not unreasonable to think that we're getting Hitler's drift.
