First, welcome to EvC
It's interesting that you seem to imply that Intelligent Design is science yet post material that refutes that very position.
You said:
Vanessa writes:
I was impressed with the level of scientific evidence supporting ID. The arguments were robust and compelling, but I believe it's all for naught.
yet arguments do not make anything scientific, only evidence does.
Then you go on to say:
Vanessa writes:
If ID is to succeeds it must lay claim Nature. Nature is God's work and ID is a champion for God.
which of course makes Intelligent Design nothing but Creationism in disguise as well as being a totally false assertion that just makes god into an incompetent bungler who is a total failure.
I'm not quite sure why you think the god you seem to be marketing is significant or of any value?

Re: Evidence for ID?
Sorry but belief in a god is a religion.

Re: Evidence for ID?
I have absolutely no idea what you mean.
Do you actually think there is some entity called "Nature"?

Re: Evidence for ID?
I'm sorry but I cannot imagine or find any possible way that belief in a god or gods would not be a religion. If Vanessa has some way of showing that belief in a god is not a religion then it is up to Vanessa to provide the reasoning why belief in a god or gods is NOT a religion.

even religious non-scientists see ID as just a con job.
So once there was a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and a pond full of pet ducks. The retriever insisted on bring us ducks, dropping them at our feet where they immediately waddled indignantly back to the pond. But they had gotten used to the ritual and maybe even grown to believe that being picked up by a big dog and carted away from the pond was some kind of honor.
Ducks are not the brightest things in the world.
And there are ID proponents too.

Please refer to the Cambrian Explosion as one example.
Not only was the Cambrian Explosion not a very rapid event, as we discover more and more pre-Cambrian fossils it is looking far less like an explosion at all.

And that what we thought were body types that appeared in the Early Cambrian were really there long before the Cambrian.

And since we are dealing almost entirely with soft-bodied critters it's likely it will take a long time to build a broad consensus, but it's looking increasingly like things once considered Cambrian such as bilateral symmetry appears long before.

You sound as though you think there is some entity "Nature" that is separate from the chemistry and physics, some guided or causative agent, but offer no evidence that such a critter exists.
Yes, the birth of a baby or germination of a seed is a lucky fluke; and it is one that is totally driven by chemistry and physics.
