The butterfly on the leaf looks similar to a species we get in Britain, the Brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni). The uppersides of the wings are bright yellow in males (pale cream in females) and the undersides light green, though light conditions make a difference to apparent colour too. I got some photos of a couple of males pursuing a female this spring, which show the differences between upperside and underside colour.
