Not enough Onifre posts have been cheered/jeered in the past 6 months - or some such technicality. Why doesn't Onifre have a rating yet? In my book he is a 10.0.If I were you And I wish that I were you All the things I'd do To make myself turn blue

Admin has elaborated on the process in a recent post - so I will leave the choice to 'know' or 'not know' in your own hands... And part of of me doesn't want this ever to come to light because of the misuse that would ensue. If I were you And I wish that I were you All the things I'd do To make myself turn blue

Who's funding them and caring for their jobs and businesses while they protest business and capital enterprise? Edited by Panda, : No reason given. Buzsaw writes: Maybe it is different in America, but in the UK we can go wherever we want and do whatever we want when we take time off from work. In UK does this apply to time off for protesting rallies during normal work time? Buzsaw writes: No - I am saying that in the UK we are legally entitled to take time off from work and (if we choose) spend 24/7 at a protest rally.
You're doing a classic straw job, Panda. My point was that many of these protesters are there 24/7. Those have no jobs. Buzsaw writes: Maybe it is different in America, but in the UK, when we take a day off from work we get to spend the whole day (24/7) away from work. No employer in UK or the US is going to just let them take normal work time off for that purpose 24/7. No? And as I said previously, we can go wherever we want and do whatever we want. Buzsaw writes: Maybe it is different in America, but in the UK we can take weeks off from work and (if we choose) use the money we have earned to attend a protest rally. Someone is providing the squatters with their needs Some of them are likely 99 week unemployed trashing up the property of the taxpayers paying their dime. So, to spell it out, in the UK:Employers will give employees weeks off from work. Employees are allowed to spend their all of their time off (24/7) at protest rallies. Employees are allowed to use their earnings to support themselves while at protest rallies. But maybe it is different in America...Is it? Edited by Panda, : No reason given. frako writes: Buzsaw has 'cheered' your reply - have I misunderstood something? Wtf weeks off from work u call that getting fired or something Aren't Americans entitled to annual leave? In the UK we are legally entitled to 28 days off from work each year. Do Americans not get holidays? If I were you And I wish that I were you All the things I'd do To make myself turn blue

Hooah writes: The 28 days obligatory days are pro-rata-ed for part-time employees in the UK. Not only that, but that is only if you are a full time regular employee. I have been a contractor for the last two places I worked at.And contractors are paid more than standard employees to compensate them for no paid holidays/sickness pay/maternity leave/etc. If I were you And I wish that I were you All the things I'd do To make myself turn blue

Rahvin writes: In the UK, we have a history of people voting according to their family's preferences. It's gotten to the point that few actually think about why they support this issue or that - if the issue is supported by their "team," then they support it.Many times British people have said something like: "I vote Labour. I've always voted Labour. My father voted labour and so did his father. This is a Labour voting family." (Labour is the main left wing party) It is as if they think the political party has not changed in 60+ years and so there is no reason to adjust their vote. Attitudes like that are wrong and undermine confidence in democracy. Edited by Panda, : No reason given. If I were you And I wish that I were you All the things I'd do To make myself turn blue
