Polygamy

I suppose that you have some support that the US was "one nation under god" before the 50s or that it was ever a Christian Nation or that there is any Biblical support for opposing polygamy?

First, who is "we"?Are you old enough to have studied any US history yet?You do know that the first European settlements in what is now the US were by Spanish Roman Catholics don't you?You do know that the first English settlement in the US were strictly commercial and not affiliated or driven by any religion don't you?You are aware of Henry's Church aren't you?You do know that Christianity and the concept of a Religious State was the largest single problem faced in founding what became the US don't you?You do know that absolutely none of that has anything to do with polygamy don't you?

Good apology.But actually, there has never been a time when we all had the same views on religion and that is particularly true when speaking about the founding of the US and about Christianity.In fact, it was the differing views on Christianity that almost doomed the establishment of the United States.But again, that has absolutely nothing to do with polygamy.

I hope that it will encourage you to learn a little about history, particularly the US history as it relates to religions and Christianity because the reality is totally different than what is taught, especially what is taught in most modern Christian avoidance schools.
