Oh dear
Creationism is founded on the intelligence of people now and in the past that the bible and natural evidence support our ideas. That's what people used to say about manifest destiny and the - warning, warning, Godwins Law -party genocides. Edited by Larni, : genocides

Robert Byers, Dependent origination is NOT obscure. Every WESTERN PhD graduate in philosohy is familar with it. It is the only teaching that ties every level of buddhism from Theravada to Dzogchen.

RB writes: to deny creationism is to deny religion as true by your reasoning. Nonsense. It is all of the evidence that shows that THAT religion is not true. Sorry Charlie but it really is that simple. Biblical Creationism is simply bullshit.
Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Apart from causality, what other part is useful for scientific investigation?

I've never understood?
It should be simple. Science is taught in science classes and religion is taught in religious studies or whatever they are calling it nowadays. They both get taught in their respective classes. Science should be able to teach that Evolutionary Theory is an advancing subject that does not yet have all of the answers without God being brought into it. Or would Creationists like the boot to be put on the other foot and have science interfering with religious studies classes? Science would have a lot to say about the legitimacy of the Bible, particularly the New Testament. Christianity is a religion based on a person who appears to have escaped all documentation under the obsessive Romans and for whom there is no hard evidence that he ever really existed. And I would just love to get in there and explain to all school children about brainwashing, particularly by their religious parents.

Re: I've never understood?
It should be simple but the facts of the matter is that the religious right wing nutjobs want creationism to be taught as science. I could not give a damn if religion is taught in a theology class but when faith schools teach creation as a scientific alternative to evolution I worry.

A Solution?
So should the reply to attempts to teach religion in science classes be a countermovement to force science's take on religion to be taught on a compulsory basis in prayer groups? That might disuade them from sticking their noses in where they have no right to be.

That might disuade them from sticking their noses in where they have no right to be. You would think, but if there's one thing we've learned about Christians, it's that no matter how much they have going for them, they are _ALWAYS_ the victim. So, I can tell you exactly how this will go down: "They claim that evolution isn't a religion, but they want to teach it to our kids in prayer class. That's an attack on Christianity! And, since evolution is a religion, we shouldn't teach it in school. Instead, we should only teach Creationism which is not a religion because it's real."

Re: A Solution?
Well that's the difference between fundies and normal people. Fundies know their brand of fundamentalism is correct, why wouldn't it be right? Anything that does not confirm their brand is to be hated and feared.

That is the worst forum I've ever seen. There's four posts with a sum total of less than 50 words. And you don't seem to understand how "Forum - Topic - Opening Post" are related. For example: You have a Forum Titled: "Creationism as science?" With a Topic Titled: "Explain how this is possible." With an Opening post that writes: "Give me your best arguments." That's just fucking retarded. Epic phail. Oh, and you're a spammer on top of it
