Re: Bug?
I had already proven to myself how bad I am at designing icons,
So that's that new flavicon supposed to be?
Looks like a "d" to me...

email notification
The "d" is the default favicon for dBoard, used for new installations. When I initially flipped over to the new code there was a bug that made it unable to find the favicon for EvC Forum, so it defaulted to the dBoard favicon. That bug has been fixed.
Ah ok, but now I'm just seeing the IE "e"...
Here's another thing:
The links in the email notification I received point to:
http://www.my email provider.org/mail/Forums.php
instead of the evcforum website.
The message links n'everything are like this:
http://www.my email provider.org/mail/dm.php?control=msg&m=624308
.
Keep up the good work!

Re: email notification
This should be fixed, but I won't know for sure until someone replies to me. Notifications aren't sent for replies to yourself.
Yeah, its all good now.

ABE:
So I'm curious, for those who think they can tell whether the performance is now better, worse, or the same, could you post a short note to this thread?
It does seem to "pop" faster...
Instead of a few large chunks of the page loading serially, the whole page just shows up at once.

Re: New Message Rating System
I can't vote with Internet Explorer. When I click on the Like icon, it just says "Error on Page" in the bar at the bottom.
It seems to be working just fine with Chrome.

Re: New Message Rating System
it works if you refresh the page after clicking the icon.
You're right! That "Like" I gave you was with IE8 and appeared after a refresh.

'All Topics' - 'Contact Us' Button Positions
Hi Percy,
I've been out of the office the past few days. I was browsing the forums on my iPhone.
After scrolling through and getting to the bottom of some thread, I'll hit the "All Topics" button at the bottom of the page. Well, right next to that is the "Contact Us" button and occasionally I'd accidentally hit that one instead. This causes the mail client to open up and then pop up a draft of an email to you. Its really annoying. I think one time I accidentally hit the "Send" button instead of cancelling the message and ended up sending you a blank email that I didn't want to.
Anyways, consider putting those buttons apart from each other.

utube code issue
I'm trying to use the utube code you just made and when I hit preview its jumping right to the actual youtube page... so I can't submit, and when I hit the back button, it goes back to the preveiw and then jumps back forward to the youtube page again. I hit back twice and got to the pre-preview page.
ABE:
It does not look like embedding was dissallowed on that one. But that makes me wonder... could your utube code be a way around people who've disabled embedding?

From an administrative perspective, he *is* violating the forum rules:
quote:
5.Bare links with no supporting discussion should be avoided. Make the argument in your own words and use links as supporting references.
6.Avoid lengthy cut-n-pastes. Introduce the point in your own words and provide a link to your source as a reference. If your source is not on-line you may contact the Site Administrator to have it made available on-line.
Just slapping copy-n-paste's around is pathetic.

utube code suggestion
If you look at the Music that moves you thread, there's a bunch of links to youtube.
Most of them are aligned to the left, but your utube code defaults to an align center. I think the align left looks better and should be the default.
Or, could you add in the 'left' coding that aligns it like you have done with the img code? So I could type [utube=left,www.theaddress].
Yeah?
