So I got on Google+ , found PZ on there, and commented on one of his posts, clearly not imagining he'd even see the comment much less reply.

YAY hehehehe. Of COURSE don't mistake this for me being on any ego trip lol, for about 2.8 seconds I was like "AWESOME", then I remember who I am. Also, it's only because the community is very small still.
ANYWAY... thought it was cool

No invites
Sorry
Appears they've closed it again for the moment. Just periodically check at Sign in - Google Accounts and you'll get in at some point I'm sure.
It's looking really nice, and gives you a lot more control than Facebook does regarding exactly who you distribute to... although, when I posted that someone told me about some Facebook features that allow you a similar degree of control... features which were stealthed in at some point and never publicised!
Anyway, there's just a lotta things about G+ that are better
If I get any invites again I'll check back here... so PM your email address if ya like, just in case.

Ahh, yes. Circles. No one knew FB had this until Google came out with it lol.

G+ circles = FB lists
Yeah hehe... I had set up "lists" in FB but couldn't see any way to restrict posts to specific ones.
Turns out that you select "specific people", and then type in the name of the list.
If G+ manages somehow to usurp FB, it'll be nobody's fault but FB's.

I know the feeling. Tom Cruise, the San Diego Chargers (for a while), and Rob Paulsen follow me on Twitter. I'm not sure why.

Thank you for your submission to Science. Your paper was reviewed by a jury of seventh graders so that they could look for balance and to allow them to make up their own minds. We are sorry to say that they found your paper "bogus," specifically describing the section on the laboratory work "boring." We regret that we will be unable to publish your work at this time.

You must be so proud!
Ken Thompson answered a mail i sent hime once, i felt quite happy about that.
Now, the big challenge is to get Don Knuth to answer...
[Edit]
I just dug out your twitter profile, Rrhain, and yes, George Takei is really fucking cool!

I don't know why Wiki would say he's best known for Raphael. I'd say he's best known for Yakko Warner and Pinky the Mouse, thus his Twitter ID: yakkopinky.
My best brush with fame was with Dr. Seuss. My cousins used to live in La Jolla, a couple blocks from where Theodore Geisel lived. I was about 7 and they asked, "Do you wanna meet Dr. Seuss?" Yes! So, we walked down the street, went up to this house, and knocked on the door. A tall, thin man with a beard answers. "Are you Dr. Seuss?" He said yes and I asked for his autograph. He happened to have a pad of Cat in the Hat paper there, signed it, and gave it to me.
Unfortunately, it got lost in a move. I'm actually pissed about that.
And I must say, I'm surprised he didn't slap me right there. This kid comes up to his house, knocking on his door for an autograph? Yeesh! But, he was gracious and I thank him for indulging my childish (in a good way) admiration of him.

Logan's Run

That's a weird trio hehe.
I walked down the steps of the Fort Worth Water Gardens a week or two before the finale sequence of the original "Logan's Run" film was shot there. We drove past on the day of shooting and saw some explosions stuff
Dunno why I thought of that lol... I guess because, as a child, that made me feel important somehow lol.
Since originally posting this, I have advised PZ on how to use G+ help features, and posted a link to him of the G+ cheat sheet A G+ developer was a bit late to reply and then said "What David Henson said... and also..." which made me feel good hehe

I have a QSL card from Barry Goldwater from the mid 80's if I remeber correctly. I didnt think much of it at the time, but dad did. Through the years we have logged a handful of famous people including Walter Cronkite, and former King Hussian of Jordan, Joe Walsh also. Goldwater was the only one who sent a QSL card.
