Re: Cats as God
Frako, the neighbor accross the street from me has a diabetic cat that she gives insulin shots to every day. I don't know about how or if she tests the cat's blood first, but she definitely gives it shots.

all they do is lay around, and deposit hair on everything. and they piss and shit in this box that makes the whole house smell. as soon as said room mate leaves I put both of them outside. I keep hoping they wander off but they always come back.

Hmm thats strange cats are usually clean and dont deposit much hair what breed are they?
and they piss and shit in this box that makes the whole house smell.
Well someone should change the sand and clean the box more often
A friend of mine has the litterr box in his bathroom and a small "cat door" on the door to the bathroom so that just the bathroom stinks

Re: Cats as God
Its probably alot harder to manage then human diabetis where you need to watch what you eat, calculate how much of an exsertion you will put on your body (running...) befroe you take your shot
Doub the cat tells you those things and watches what it eats

actually only one of the cats is a bad kitty, she is not clean, nor does she clean herself, and when we changed litter boxes to a igloo shaped box, she refused to use it and shitted on the couch, we tried to train them to go outside, but you know how training and cats goes (they are far to fucking stupid to be trained IMO).
someone does need to change the box, like every fucking day, they day i clean it is the day I see what a 2 3/4 inch 12 gauge shell does to a domestic cat (my $0.25 solution to my feline problem), I already know what happens to a fox, and a cat is smaller, so i have a pretty good hypothesis.

actually only one of the cats is a bad kitty
she is not clean, nor does she clean herself
That is strange because ususaly cats are fanatic about cleanliness, part of their hunting strategy they get as clean as possible so the prey cant smell them, unlike dogs who get as dirty as possible so the pray cant smell their smell but only the dirt on them.
and when we changed litter boxes to a igloo shaped box, she refused to use it and shitted on the couch
Thats a bad cat lol, maybe she was claustrophobic because if a cat can take a shit where it can burry its shit thats the place it will go at least mine will
we tried to train them to go outside, but you know how training and cats goes (they are far to fucking stupid to be trained IMO).
http://youtu.be/mD2fg7XWTL4 watch this they can be trained just like any other animal from goldfish to elephants.

Cat v. Dog
You'll like this result, Moose.

Our dogs constantly want our attention. As I'm sitting here at the pc they're all sitting around me just staring at me. The female just jumped on my lap.
Do they really love me or do they just want food?
For the record, we don't have a regular schedule to feed our dogs. We just keep their food bowl filled all the time and let them nip at it whenever they want.

Same thing happens with my cats.
The female (Fletcher) will get as close as she can and purr very loudly while pawing my head and face. She is adept at unsheathing her middle claw and getting the boundary of my lip and skin (ouch).
She also seems to be aware of the focus of my attention: she will block my line of sight to TV, PC or book until I feed her.
The male (Smudge) will sit and stare. If this does not work he will walk over my head and face and sink his claws into my chest (if I'm laying down).
All of this tends to happen at daybreak or dusk when they want feeding.

The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.
Moreover that view is a blatantly anti-relativistic one. I'm rather inclined to think that space being relative to time and time relative to location should make such a naive hankering to pin-point an ultimate origin of anything, an aspiration that is not even wrong.
Well, Larni, let's say I much better know what I don't want to say than how exactly say what I do.

But that's just it. We leave the food out all the time for them. They can eat anytime they want. Our dogs don't over eat like other dogs.

Given the chance Fletcher will pig out.
But more often she seems put out if I or my wife Olwen are not doing what she expects us to do.
It's like she has her schedule and woe unto the house holders if that schedule is interrupted.

I guess Im very much both. We got a cat first and some years later a dog. The cat died a bit over a year ago and we tried to be just a dog-family. Could not do it
Last december a Maine Coon miss decided that our house would be a suitable habitat for her - we did the obvious visits to the breeder and "paying for her" but still - you cannot really own a cat
It was wonderful to witness our first cat and the dog (Finnish Laphund) trying to figure each other out and now when the dog was the one welcoming a new member to the family. Their being together is truly heart-warming to watch - brother and sister they are

Find the Cat
There is a cat in this picture.
Took me a minute to find it.

Re: Find the Cat
Thank you. With a couple glasses of wine I'm easily entertained. I spent quite a few minutes staring. Finally found the pussy. Now I can retire happy (er). One more glass to celebrate. Now off to dream land. Or I could just babble on here for a while. But I do have dreams to be dreamt. I also need to go in early in the morning. Got a small problem yet to be resolved. Or I guess I could look at the picture for a bit more to see if maybe the pussy as moved any. It is looking a bit fuzzy around the edges.
Red, red wine,
Stay close to me.
Don't let me be alone.
It's tearing apart,
My blue, blue heart.
