Percy, at "My HUGE problem with creationist thinking"

Thread: My HUGE problem with creationist thinking
Message #: 100
At least one other person gave it a "5", prior to me.
As I type this, there are 6 replies to a Mazzy message. Percy's is by far the best of them. Maybe a little snarky, but the snark was done eloquently. The other 5 messages range from OK to pretty crappy.

Dr Adequate, at "The Flood, fossils, & the geologic evidence"
Author: Dr Adequate
Forum: Geology and the Great Flood
Thread: The Flood, fossils, & the geologic evidence
Message #: 250
A short little message, with 8 key (bolded by me) words:
The question is, what results would Noah's flood have had if it had happened? I think not very much (in geological terms, biogeography is a whole other question).
Many creationists present "the flood" as being able to do vast amounts of most anything. The non-creationist side, while not remotely going as far, still have expected a considerable impact that should be still see-able.
Of course, we (the non-creationist side) are arguing about the evidence or lack of evidence for a young Earth concept event, from our old Earth perspective.
As such, what impact is a 1 year event going to have upon the Earth's geology? Dr. A thinks not much, and I'm inclined to agree. But it's not unlike arguing how many angels can dance on a pinhead, when we can't begin to agree on how big the pinhead is.
Back to the topic in question, if this detail is to be debated further.

A wonderful concise summary of 9/11 and the plunge into the Afghanistan war.

Chuck77 & M. Report, at "What is the creation science theory of the origin of light?"
Author: Chuck77
Forum: Big Bang and Cosmology
Thread: What is the creation science theory of the origin of light?
Message #: 7
The first paragraph:
Do you want us to propose one? Are you forcing us to come up with a "light" Theory? There isn't one that I know of. If you're trying to say we have no proof of what the Bible says fine, but until someone proposes a theory for "and God said" then it's silly to suggest we propose one for you just so you can "point and laugh".
Chuck77 went on to say more. The highly dubious topic should have ended there.

Thread: What is the creation science theory of the origin of light?
Message #: 41
The first paragraph:
How many times do we have to tell you before you will understand. There is no creationist theory on how God created light. There never will be a theory. There cannot be a theory.
MR goes on to quote a bunch of members, starting with Chuck77 at message 7, who said essentially the same.
The still highly dubious topic really should have ended there. But it lives on.
