Re: GOP destroyed U.S. economy
Who's to blame isn't really important. Passing around blame doesn't solve problems.
Analyze the situation. Appeal to the present and to the past to determine what went wrong.
Eliminate the causes of that wrong.
Take steps to lessen the effect of that wrong.
Cross fingers.

Re: Let's have the wealthy speak out in favor of higher taxes
It really is that simple.
And that's just the problem: the simple stuff doesn't even get addressed.
What hope can there be for fixing the tougher stuff?

Re: Should The Wealthy Recover Most?
If a wealthy businessman has no customers who can afford his products, he will not recover either.
This becomes the crippler of Reaganomics: Supply doesn't drive production, DEMAND does. No one makes a factory to produce widgets that nobody is going to buy. It matters not how much money you fork over to the rich and the 'entre-manures', they will never provide any jobs for anything if there isn't a demand for the crap they want to make.
Not that demand alone is sufficient; it must be balanced. And so it is certainly not only a matter of supply.

Re: Should The Wealthy Recover Most?
The US just is not needed as a market anymore.
And I assume that includes labor market as well?
How can we make ourselves needed? And who is it that we are making need us anyway?

Re: Should The Wealthy Recover Most?
What would make a US worker of value?
But to whom is it that we'd be making ourselves more valuable?
