If I may, what program are you using for your screen prints? Used to have one for many years that got lost in a series of trades/upgrades/losses. I've periodically had such a need (or desire) and been putting off the hunt for the last couple years.

In Windows, Alt+PrtSc (alt plus print screen) "copies" the whole screen and then you can paste that into Paint or irfanview <-- software

Yah, I know that one. I thought you might be using some fancy piece of (free) software that would take what you want grabbed from anywhere on the screen and make various file types.
I wish I could remember where I got that. Oh, well. Thanks, Dr A. Appreciate the response.

If you are using WinXP, use Greenshot.If you are using Linux (which means you have to reboot about as often as you get laid) use Shutter. On topic, it seems im stuck at about 900 points. Hi Paul,
XNView is good for changing images from various file types to another. Also handy for resizing, clipping, etc and it can categorise your pictures. XnSoft Mutate and Survive On two occasions I have been asked, — "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?" ... Your at a critical junction of your evolution (say ... like the jump from unicellular to multicellular) so unless you want to wait a billions years worth of generation, I'd suggest a clean up

There's no small change that would bring about an improvement. (Evolution from single-celled to colonial organisms can be seen in the laboratory, BTW.)

I seem to remember that it took quite a while to get past that point. I took a lot of screen shots, but I seemed to have started doing such later. I need to get back to looking at the photo record, but need to get other things done now. I got to 1135.3 at 2:02, and then stalled forever. At one generation I had 6 of 20 cars making it to that point. Any differences between them was extremely subtle. Anyway, I cut the test off midway through generation 193 (I had it running for about 36 hours). I saved a version of the best car and injected it into a new test. In a couple of tries it has seriously evolved to the worse in just the first few generations, when the track was still relatively short. I need to look to see if the mutations can be shut off. Moose

You can shut off the mutations by setting it to 0.
I think the trick when you get to a point of local maximum as Dr.A put it (and where you were at 1135.3) is maybe put a bigger mutation rate and hope for a lucky bounce
