Amazing footage of a recent shuttle launch, taken from numerous cameras on the SRBs and elsewhere. If you have the patience to let the video buffer a bit, the launch is around 3:00 in. The SRB separations at 5:13 and 5:40 are particularly spectacular, to those of you that dig this kinda stuff anyway.

Fantastic stuff.
Expect real nerds to be most interested in the shots of the giant tractor that moves the shuttle to the launch pad.

Hi Briterican,

The parts where the boosters fell into the water was great as that part I had never seen in person.
But if you think that was great you should be at a launch and see it with your own eyes and hear with your own ears the awesome power expended.
I have been able to witness many launches since the 60's as I live only a 100 miles from the Cape.
God Bless,

You called it.

Re: Yep!
Well DNA is not that different, relatively simple and just a chemical reaction. Nothing more. Infact, it's really questionable whether DNA is alive.
What is the second part of your argument?

Hi Briterican,
I had the privilege many years ago, back when the shuttle was relatively new, to be inside the assembly building. and along the track to some launch pads, and it was an awesome experience.
Enjoy.

Hi RAZD,
I don't think that Briterican is paying attention to the big bun fight that is EvC Land right now, but I know him, so I''l pass on your regards.

Petition to rejoin the big bun fight
Hi RAZD!
Thanks for the gentle nudge to come back to EVC
I have discovered that the only substantial intellectual discourse I found since vanishing from here was from visits to Granny Magda's, and as that doesn't come often enough, I guess I'd better rejoin you guys here.
I'll try to rejoin participation in the fight for rationalism over fantasy (on the side of rationalism I should note) gradually over the next week.
Hope you've been well! I'd LOVE to visit the assembly building, and/or see a launch, but until then I'll just have to keep watching videos and pretending I'm Buck Rogers
Speak to ya soon!
Briterican
