How to quote
Hello ApostateAbe, to see how I did this, press the "peek" button on the bottom right of the post. Leave out the =ApostateAbe to get a "normal" quotebox.

In order to quote another poster, I have been copying the text and putting it within quote tags. On all other forums, there is a "quote" button below a person's message so I can push that button to quickly quote the message in a reply while keeping all of the formatting. Can I not do that here, or is there something I am just not seeing?
No you can't, you'll have to do it manually. But typing those 4 or 5 characters extra doesn't matter that much, does it? I think Percy (he writes all the software for this board) will probably someday add buttons for that, but when, is of course hard to say.

Re: How to quote
Well, I don't think it's necessary to include a "reply-quote" button. You could however include a button where you could highlight some text in the message you're replying to, and when you click that button it makes it a quotebox. Not that I would need such a thing, but that could perhaps speed up the quoting process.

Percy, also consider a limit of say three or four nested quotes.
Please no, that would seriously cramp my style of replying. Yes there might be a lot of quoting in the messages, but I feel that is necessary. I like to be thorough, that's all.

Note the word nested.
Ah! I think I misunderstood, with nested you mean a quote within a quote within a quote within a quote and so on, yes? Then I agree. I thought you meant 4 quotes per post total.

Uhm, that was ApostateAbe you quoted. You switched the guy that posted on this forum the most with a guy who has like 115 posts?

I took a screenshot of what I see in FF (messages set to 100 per page):
In IE, everything's fine
