Having been in many fundi churches and other fundi circles over six decades, from all over the nation, imo, the pentecostals, other charismatic groups and Jehovah's Witnesses are the less intelligent, by and large. They are actually the least fundamental when it comes to literal interpretation of the New Testament. The Jim Jones suicide cultists, for example were pentecostal types.
The graduates of fundi universities such as Bob Jones University, Liberty University and Pensacola Bible College, etc tend to be highly sought after for employment. Having attended BJU for a year and a half, some of the most intelligent people I've encountered were there on the staff and in the classes.
People like Dr James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries and David Barton are good examples of highly intelligent noted non-pentecostal fundis, where as folks like Oral Roberts, the defamed Jimmy Swaggart, James & Tammy baker & the PTL Club, Pat Robertson etc tend to be the less intelligent ones, some of whom ended up in hot water legally.
The ministries of the latter tended to be more emotion driven whereas the more intelligent fundi groups tended to be more doctrinal driven ministries.
I am regarded by many here on this board as a really stupid unintelligent dumb ass. As a matter of fact, I scored the 2nd to the top IQ in our boot training outfit in the USAF and score high in online tests, IQ wise. Like, Slevesque, this is not to brag, but to address the topic question.
My point is that intelligence rating in boards, such as this is, are often determined ideologically. The rating system here bears that out. That is not the fault of the rating system. That is simply cause and effect, the majority having a non-religious ideology.
