Catholic Scientist doesn't get a lot of these, I suspect, but I thought Message 111 was a very excellent, clear, and high-quality post:
quote: A really clear and illustrated way to explain a concept that's actually quite difficult for people to get a handle on - the notion that most of physical existence is on a continuum but our categories invariably assume discreet states.

As promised -
Thread: The Bible, accuracy and inerrancy, are any of these prophecies fulfilled by JesusAuthor: jar Post: all jar, clearly and blatantly shows the difference between those who read for understanding and those who read for quotemines. One knows what they are posting about and the opposition obviously does not. I wish there were more advocates of critical thinking and as many practitioners. Like jar. Seconded, that post is pretty cool and agree, it takes a concept that for some is difficult to understand and makes it very clear.

A thread I thought would be a dog turned out beautifully. I've learned more about color than I previously knew. The standard in that thread is high, except for some humor here and there... But Rrhain's in particular moved deeper, observing empirical relationships between color and language, displaying with knowledge the contrast between what science and reason can apprehend vs. the knotted superstition of numerology. Thank you. I understand that it is a contentious issue and that what I am proposing will not immediately get accepted or even understood.
It's likely that folk might well even take your subtitle seriously. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!
