I was browsing the General Discussion Of Moderation Procedures 11.0 thread, and noticed that if I clicked to view the posts of only one of the currently inactive Admins, the option to return to "Normal Thread Display" was missing from the displayed posts.
Notice No webpage found at provided URL: GDoMP 11: AdminBuzsaw Posts Only. Yet, No webpage found at provided URL: GDoMP 11: Admin Posts Only.
I also notice that there is some sort of merging between the old Admin accounts and their respective regular user accounts, thus that thread says it was started by regular member Phat, even though the first post is from AdminPhat. Perhaps this is related to the problem? I don't see this affecting regular members' suspended/inactive accounts, just the old Admins.
Anyway, just thought I'd point it out if it hasn't been noticed.

I'm pretty sure that happens to all inactive members, not just inactive admins. By "inactive member", I mean a member where the "inactive" flag is set in the profile.
I tested this using my old AdminNWR account. When I turned of the "inactive" flag for that account, the "normal thread display" link was again available. When I turned the flag back on, that link disappeared. It is probably an artifact of that link appearing in the poster panel to the left of the post. The "inactive" flag suppresses much of what goes there.
Incidentally, my old AdminNWR account no longer has any special admin privileges. As far as I can tell, it is just about the same as any old user account, except that I am keeping it flagged inactive except when doing something special (such as the test mentioned above, and when changing the password as Admin requested we all do some time back).

I am guessing here.
When I was an admin, two accounts nwr and AdminNWR were linked. I could be logged in as either one of those members, and post for that member or the other one.
If I were logged in as nwr, then when posting there was a selection menu to select which member I was posting for. It defaulted to nwr unless I was posting to a thread/forum that required Admin privileges.
There was another option. If I was editing one of my posts, I could switch the poster between the two linked members.
So here's my guess: I suspect that Phat originally started that thread as himself, then went back and edited it to change the owner to AdminPhat. That change altered the ownership of the opening post, but failed to changed the information for the thread as a whole.
Note: Members nwr and AdminNWR are no longer linked.

Interesting observation! I tried this with my own account and it produced the same results as you mentioned. So I guess there is a difference with how suspended accounts and inactive accounts are handled.

By coincidence I was working in this area of the code today, so this should be fixed now, please check it out.
Please let me know if you find any additional problems anywhere. I don't think most of the membership realize how helpful this is, maybe because for some things it takes a while to get to.
You might want to modify the colors in your avatar a bit. On the blue background of messages the longitudinal lines disappear, and on the black background of thread lists your name disappears (click on the little down arrow on the right hand side of your thread list page).

Beautifully fixed!

That was intentional .

The ex-admins
Originally, when an admin was de-adminned, the ex-admin was reduced to a standard member of "suspended" status. I don't recall what the linked account status was.
Anyway, to get rid of the tacky "suspended" status, I unsuspended all the ex-admins, but took away their topic starting, message posting, and editing permissions. This is in effect the same as a suspension, and it was the original method of doing suspensions.
The accounts are also no longer linked.

Re: The ex-admins
I hadn't realized that my former admin account had no posting permission. But then I haven't tried posting with it.
The delinking was probably a good idea. Otherwise, whenever I was at the site, the former admin account name also showed up in parentheses.
