Not only that, but he does not even participate in the topics he creates. It's borderline spam. Maybe trolling. And *we* are falling for it, hook-line and sinker.

"Some people think God is an outsized, light-skinned male with a long white beard, sitting on a throne somewhere up there in the sky, busily tallying the fall of every sparrow. Othersfor example Baruch Spinoza and Albert Einsteinconsidered God to be essentially the sum total of the physical laws which describe the universe. I do not know of any compelling evidence for anthropomorphic patriarchs controlling human destiny from some hidden celestial vantage point, but it would be madness to deny the existence of physical laws."-Carl Sagan
"Show me where Christ said "Love thy fellow man, except for the gay ones." Gay people, too, are made in my God's image. I would never worship a homophobic God." -Desmond Tutu

Delta-9s topic
Can delta-9s topic, How does epigenetics influence evolution?, be promoted or alternatively he could be directed to one of the other threads already open discussing epigenetic inheritance such as Mutation and its role in evolution: A beginners guide or Non-mendelian genetics/ non-darwinian evolution.

Yes
Re: Vacuum issues.
Of course a vacuum can exist without edges. When tesla states " albeit: Inside an apparently infinite area (Volume) because of expansion." he shows that he fails to understand that the Universe does not have edges merely for dimensional reasons. Until he grasps that he'll not be able to understand why his question is trivial.
Tesla, hold a sphere up to the Sun and observe its shadow. Notice the shadow has edges even though the sphere has not. This is your error.

Topics up for Proposal
Dear Wonderful Administrators!
I would like the following topics to be considered for promotion. My topic, in particular, has been sitting for several days now.
Anti-Debate: Interpreting the 2nd Amendment
Letters That Don't Make Any Sense
I do not usually pester administrators about promoting topics, but I'd like to give mine a go, and I am interested in a discussion on the second one. I think both should probably have been put straight in the Coffee House, but I set mine up for promotion consideration at request of Percy when I proposed the original idea of a practice debate. Nevertheless, it's not my decision to make, but I just wanted to bring more attention to these topics.
Thank you,
Jon

FYI
The proposed topic Universe appears to be copied and pasted from WikiAnswers.
Is it odd that an answer is being posted as a question?

Promotion of Journal Watch: How Could They Print/Not Print That?
Hi Adminny folk,
I'd like to suggest that Omnivorous' topic, Journal Watch: How Could They Print/Not Print That?, about standards and published scientific papers be reconsidered.
We had a short discussion of some similar issues in the Evolving the Musculoskeletal System thread and I think it would be good to have some venue to discuss these things. Plus it's fun to bitch about other peoples' papers.
TTFN,
WK

Re: How Does Instinct Evolve?
Wow, Asyncritus has a whole Blog of similarly wacky arguments against evolution, Asyncritus' How Does Instinct Evolve .
And he also has a book, only apparently available as a PDF as yet.

He has a flashier presentation here.
Please, Admin, can we have him?
If he falls short of standards, put him in Free For All.

Re: How Does Instinct Evolve?
While in general I approve the rules against plagiarism, I should hate to let him go away thinking that we have no answers to his lies just because he happens to be a thief as well.
No judge, I think, ever gave a murderer a free ride just because he wouldn't admit that he was also a rapist.
Could the admins at least let him know that whenever he'll admit to his thefts, we are simply queuing up to destroy his falsehoods?

About How Does Instinct Evolve?
If I can count on you guys to emphasize content over ridicule I'll try to maintain some flexibility. Right now I'm awaiting Asyncritus's response.

Oh, we've got lots of content. I did my research before your first refusal to promote. It wasn't difficult.
In the meantime it would bring delight to my jaded heart if you would let him know that his dishonesty is the only thing that is keeping us from kicking seven kinds of crap out of him. (You will, of course, wish to phrase that in your own conciliatory style.)
Why should he get away with it just because he is also a thief? You have publicly exposed his theft: is that not enough? But apparently not --- you also wish to expose him to the hideous ordeals of being totally immune to criticism and of having the satisfaction of believing that he's won by default.
Yeah, that'll teach him.
Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.
