Archaeologists have used radiocarbon dating to date plant remains trapped in the plaster lining of a tunnel and a stalactite growing in the tunnel. They concluded that the tunnel was dug circa 700 BC and, for this and other reasons, concluded that this tunnel is the Siloam tunnel mentioned in 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles. See Radio-dating backs up biblical text and note the link to the abstract of the formal paper at the very end.
Now, is this a triumph for the historicity of the Bible, or is it just another "false date" based on "uniformitarion naturalistic assumptions"?

They'll say something along the lines of, "In this case, radiocarbon dating was used and interpreted appropriately."

And the ironic part is that on some mainly creationist forum, they talked about this tunnel and said things like
"i wonder what the scientists will say... probably 'well this date is obviously wrong'".

The previously existing "Siloam Tunnel dates" topic can be found at
EvC Forum: Siloam Tunnel dates
I has fallen rather far down on the list of most recently active topics.

It really doesn't matter, but this is the previously existing topic; the other was busier.
{Note from Adminnemooseus - You are correct. I didn't notice the topic start date, and was thinking that it was a new topic. This topic had slipped by my attention, and apparently also the attention of the person who started the other topic. Anyhow, at this point it would seem to be best to defer to the other topic. The moral of the story might be, that this topic could have used a better title.}
