Perhaps you're secretly a Star Trek fan, instead of a Star Wars fan?
Bah! My liking for Star Trek begins and ends with Wrath of Khan.

Ok, what about a bear cub? You must want to cuddle a bear cub (assuming it's mother gave you permission, that is).
If there's no mother around, and the cub isn't hurt by me touching it (ie, my "smell" getting on it and the mother shunning it as a result), then yes, I would probably cuddle a cub, they are not dangerous, and very cute!

I'm a TOS gal myself, since I was gonna marry Pavel Chekov when I grew up.

Check him out as Bester in Babylon 5. Very sinister.

That's my point, both are dangerous but I don't want to cuddle a snake, very much.
Why do I have double standards?
Warm-bloodedness might be a clue. A snake might warm up to you but he isn't going to keep you warm on a cold night.
(I have my own personal hypothesis that snakes don't have enough legs and spiders have too many.)

Life is like a Hot Wheels car. Sometimes it goes behind the couch and you can't find it.

Re: Hug a bear?
You might be right with the warm bloodedness. When I cuddle my cat he is very warm (when he falls asleep on my pillow he is often too hot), but if I were to try to cuddle an iguana I don't think I would get the same sensations.

As a child, Spock had a pet sehlat, which is a cuddly Vulcan bear-like animal with claws and fangs.
Though sehlats are not used for being cuddly, but rather to teach Vulcan children responsibility (The Forge (Star Trek: Enterprise) - Wikipedia):
quote:
Domesticated sehlats are a popular pet with Vulcan children. These sehlats are smaller, though not much so, and still quite aggressive: T'Pol, having owned one, notes that Vulcan children learn early never to be late with their sehlat's dinner.
And despite having been a Trekker (ie, I own no Vulcan ears) since the very first broadcast in 1966, I also trained in the ways of The Force years before it came to be called that in 1977 and have always used the Force to lead in dancing.

Hi Larni
I was talking with my wife the other day and she said that she would like to cuddle a bear.....I then went google images and looked at bears, wolves and big cats and thought to my self 'yeah, I'd love to cuddle them, too'
May I suggest that you and your wife buy a couple of panda costumes, have a romantic candle-lit dinner of bamboo ravioli, and then...well, the rest is your business.
I'll give you a few quid for the video though.

That's a great idea, one of the ways in which my self and a panda would be similar in such a romantic situation is that we both eats, shoots and leaves...

Heh, that reminds me of a Motorhead lyric:
"If you squeeze my lizard, I'll put my snake on you!"
