Re: Glitches?
No problems here with FF 3.6.6

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I'm not ignoring anyone...
I've received a number of emails from members and have not had the time to reply to any. I'm not ignoring anyone, I'm just very busy. Thanks for everything, from expressions of concern to encouragements to bug and odd behavior reports.

Internal Server Error
At around 3:55 board time, today, I received the error:
quote:
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, ******@evcforum.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
You are probably aware of this, but I'm posting just in case you missed it.

Re: Internal Server Error
Hi nwr!
Thanks for reporting this. Yes, I was aware, and I may even have been the cause. Usually tasks I carry out on the server have no impact on website performance, but in this case I was processing a particularly large data file. I'll be more careful when processing large files from now on.

Slight bug
In my signature I am getting a stray hash mark.
Facts don\'t lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
There is no hash mark on my profile. Also, it looks fine when I do a preview.

HTML Disabled
HTML code has been disabled in both messages and private messaging because of a security issue. It will be reenabled as soon as I have time to add code to plug the security hole.

I take it the "junk shot" didn't work?

Firefox problems
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I don't seem to be able to use the boards with Firefox any more. I can log in fine, but then am logged out as soon as I click on anything. Is this just me, or a problem caused by the hacking and fixing? It works fine in IE.

Re: Firefox problems
I can confirm that I had the same problem for a while - using Safari 5.0 and an oldish release of Chrome, so it wasn't just Firefox.
I guessed that it was a cookie problem and tried clearing cookies (which fixed a similar problem I had using Firefox on another site) but it didn't do any good.

I wonder why you would assume that it was a creationist that would want to hack this site. I thought everyone here claims that this is not a Pro-evolution site, and both sides are treated equally?
They are. And the in my experience the only people foolish and paranoid enough to find this even-handed treatment upsetting are creationists.
So while it is true that a creationist has no better reason than an evolutionist to hold a grudge against this board, it is also true that a creationist is much more likely to hold an unreasonable grudge. Unreasonable is pretty much what they do, after all.
