I suddenly realized that there is a whole other world out there (the "beer world") of which I know absolutely nothing. I thought My former sense of culture for having tasting a half dozen varieties of cream soda seemed so tiny in comparison.
I am still recovering from the existential crisis that this caused me.
If you ever end up in a similar situation with a bunch of wine buffs it will be even worse. They take things to a whole other level. If beer drinkers gave you an existential crisis wine knowers will cause your head to implode.
Although you could just point out that it is only rotten grape juice they are getting excited about and then watch their heads explode.

Sounds good, I'll have to try each of those. I'll admit though, I've yet to try a Black and Tan proper. I've heard alot about them, but I've never made one.

Having worked at a small winery for several years, "rotten grape juice" isn't the worst of it. I've seen what kind of critters end up in the punch down tanks, as well as the creatures that inhabit the barrel rooms.
Maybe that's why winemakers make a good show of drinking wine in public, but when they get together in private they almost always prefer beer.

I'll need to try those Guiness and cider blends. I've never been a big fan of beer. I don't like the bitterness. I've tried a black and tan before and it wasn't bad. But I love a good cider.
Favorite Ciders:
Woodchuck Amber
Strongbow
Woodchuck Dark and Dry

Aw man, I almost forgot about Strongbow. We used to drink pitchers of that stuff when I was in Deutschland.
I just tried some Samuel Adams Summer Ale last night. That shit was goooooodd.
