Re: General replies
The button works, it's after I typed the message and hit "preview" or "submit" that it gives me that error

Re: General replies
I also tested preview and submit and they both work for me and for a test account that doesn't have privileges. I can't guess what might be the problem.
Post here if anything else occurs to you that might be helpful. Maybe if others are experiencing the problem they'll post here.

Re: General replies
I saw NWR tested it with FF 3.5.9, so I decided I would test at my home PC as well
I still couldn't submit a general reply (preview worked though).
This is a different machine, different ISP, and it's with FF 3.5.9, same as NWR.
What did you tell the board software about me Percy, that it hates me so?

Re: General replies
I can add some diagnostic code that will affect only you. It will cause several alerts to appear when you click on a button (that's a button, as opposed to a link). Then you can post back to me what the alerts say. Will that be okay?

Re: General replies
Okay, first click refresh or reload, then try to go through the process for a general reply, including a preview. You should see 4 alerts when you click on the Preview or Submit button, labeled A through D. Let me know what each says. You might not get as far as D if something is wrong.

Ah well,as long as it keeps this up, I'm fine, thanks anyway Percy, your software still rocks more than any other board software I've ever come across!

reply page bug?
Hi Percy.
The message I am replying to is a reply to Huntard to which Huntard has replied. However on the reply page it says
This message is a reply to:
Message 249 by Admin, posted Fri, 04-June-2010 7:34 PM Admin has responded

Wouldn't it make sense to have Huntard in both cases?

Yep, you're right. Probably wrong argument passed to a routine, should be an easy fix, might even get to it tonight.

Re: About HTML in Email
I've researched the HTML email issue, and what I've discovered is a bit disappointing. Some of the more popular email tools, like gmail and hotmail, pay no attention to in-line CSS style sheets. There's nothing I can do about that.
Outlook does the best job of rendering HTML that I've found so far. Email notifications now include a copy of the message, and in Outlook it looks pretty much like the original. In other email tools? Meh! I don't have Thunderbird, someone please let me know how well it does.
The "Email This Thread" link that appears on message pages also now uses HTML email.
Let me know what you think. If enough people complain I'll go back to something less ambitious that will display correctly in even the worst email tools.

Yep, bad argument in a routine call, this should be okay now. Let me know if you still see a problem.
