EvC URL Linking

There is a darkened parenthesized six digit number beside each message number in the message boxes. I was able to use this number on one occasion so as to cite a specific message, but I forgot how I did it. What is the function of that darkened number?By clicking message properties I use to be able to link specific messages but that does not work anymore. I would appreciate some input on how to link specific messages. From properties all I can link is the top message on each page.Thanks. Buzsaw

mid - message ID, I presumelike: [mid=#####]I don't see message properties....Maybe a remnant of your old admin days?

If you right click on any message you have a properties item at the bottom of the list of options. That brings up the URL of the page but not the RUL of the specific message for linking the message as it use to by changing some numbers. Thanks, CS. I see that for a long time I was going about linking the hard way. Perhaps this info will prove useful to someone else as well.I need to do more peeking the messages of others in order to become more proficient.May your New Year be blessed.
