I have an initial implementation ready of the [latex] code, this is my first test trying the same binomial equation:
How about a simple inline equation, how's that look?

I wasn't happy with that either and already had inquiries in. The problem seems to be that the graphical renderer assumes a white background, and so the text is dithered with that assumption.
In the meantime, here's another way to say Latex:

On this one, I see a lot of dots and vertical lines.
I'm using IE 6.0 at work here.
The one above the one I'm replying to, where you mention getting Java to set the default size or whatever was much smoother and clearer.
