Another crocoduck!
There's a better article here, from ScienceDaily: they stayed away from dinosaurs, the Ice Age and human evolution.
The article also has a picture of Darwinopterus hunting an Anchiornis (the primitive bird that predated Archaeopteryx): I thought that was a nice touch.
