Paper Challenges Ideas About ‘Early Bird’ Dinosaur - The New York Times

The topic title is the NYTimes headline. It seems archaeopteryx had a slower metabolism than it "should" have to be a "bird".
​
I find this odd since it may be, as other parts of the article point out, simply another characteristic of archy that was part way between dinosaur and bird.
