PROOF GOD DOES NOT EXIST

It is often argued that the existence of God can be neither proved nor disproved. This is not correct. In my following argument I focus on the god in the Judeo-Christian Bible, but this argument could apply to the god of any other creation story.According to the Bible, “God” is something that created the Earth in 6 days, made the first man out of some dust, the first woman out of one of the man’s ribs, etc, etc.Now, the question that seems so obvious to me but I never hear asked is: How did the people who wrote the Bible know of these very specific events that they reported in their story of creation?There are only two options:One option is that the story is true, in which case those who first told the story must have had clear evidence for the events they reported.The other option is that the story is not true and they just made it up.The problem has always been that, if there ever was any clear evidence available to the originators of the story, it has never been available to anyone else to verify. If we had been around at the same time and place of those who first told the story of the Bible, we could have looked over their shoulders and seen whether or not they were reporting true facts. As we can’t do that, for most of history it has only been possible to accept the story of God on faith.However, although we don’t have any evidence today to prove that the story was true, we do have evidence today to prove that the story was false.Over the past few hundred years, science has compiled more than enough evidence to prove that the Earth was formed about 4.5 billion years ago from non-orchestrated physical processes, and that we live in just one of billions of solar systems in a 14 billion year old Universe. Likewise, it has proven that humans and all other animals evolved from other species as part of a tree of life that is over 3.5 billion years old. This actual evidence directly contradicts the Bible story and so proves it to be false. All the major sciences, including physics, chemistry, biology, cosmology, geology, anthropology and archaeology agree on this. The overwhelming evidence is available for anyone to see by studying any of those subjects.As it has been proven that that the creation story in the Judeo-Christian Bible is false, the creator called “God” in that story is also proven to be false. He does not exist. He cannot exist because he could only exist if the creation story in which he features were true.Yet a lot of people now try to claim that the god of the Judeo-Christian Bible is somehow responsible for the 4.5 billion year old Earth and the process of Evolution that we are only aware of today. But he CAN’T be! The fictional creator “God” that is depicted in the Bible cannot ALSO be a real creator of the 4.5 billion year old Earth and Evolution!As we have only recently discovered Evolution and the fact that the Earth and the Universe are billions of years old, any alleged creator of these new discoveries must be newly discovered itself. It cannot be “God” from the Bible. And, unlike “God” of the Bible, evidence for its existence must be available today - it can’t be lost in the mists of time. So, where is this evidence? Answer: there is none. That means that any creator talked about today is just like the “God” of the Bible, made up in someone’s head.
