So do you celebrate any holy days at all? Or does "real" Christianity not have any holy days of it's own?

Plus they all violate the Regulative Principle. What the Sam Hill is that? Something to do with clocks or high-fiber diets?

Straggler; Not Roman Catholic ones. We celebrate Thanksgiving, but that isn't really a holy-day. Christians have 52 Holy-Days a year we are commanded to follow in the Bible, according to the Regulative Principle, to celebrate Christ. Edited by Separatist Puritan, : No reason given.

I assume that you mean Sundays. So what do you do on Sundays to celebrate Christ? Where does it say that Sunday is to be celebrated as Christ's day? Is this in the bible somewhere?

We pray, sing the psalms, listen to a Biblical Sermon and fellowship.

It is a long story starting with the Sabbath of the old Testament. Of course we all know about the Sabbath and to "keep it holy", but the 7th day became the 1st day in church history.. Something like that. It follows the Calvinist wing of the Protestant Reformation. The Puritans separated from the Church of England and started coming to the New World (on the Mayflower etc.) I guess since I hold to the Westminster Standards you could call me Reformed Presbyterian.

Something like that. "Something like that?" I Timothy seems pretty insistent on those being the wheels at the churchhouse. And your Regulative Principle seems equally insistent on "no additions or subtractions." How "like that" are you guys? I grew up a Presbyterian preacher's kid, and I sure don't remember even a single bishop around there - except Mike Bishop lived two houses down from the church. But he was a Baptist.

Others ordinary and perpetual, as pastors, teachers, and other church-governors, and deacons. Nary a Bish in the crowd. Surely that has nothing to do with the Catholics and the Church of England having bishops, now could it? Timothy says you gotta have 'em, but the enemy sects have 'em already, so just ignore Timothy? Sorry to be such a pain about this, but I have never yet had a fundy/evangelical/etc. that rejects the office of bishop give me a reason why.
