One thing that gets me about these so called images, is this, what did Mary or Jesus or any other of these individuals actually look like. There are no portraits of Mary. It seems that people assume that the paintings from the renaissance are taken as if they are the actual portraits of the these people.

I would assume that the first pic would be similar to the actual "Jesus."
