This was the best show I attended this year. It was a band I grew up listening to that I always wanted to see, but wasn't sure if could or not since there was a little break-up for awhile, but thank full Rob Halford came back. I have seen them with Ripper Owens, but I have always dreamed of seeing the original line-up, of this very influential metal band. There where actually three great bands at the show which really made it a great concert for me to attend.
I like the idea of this thread, thanks for creating it. Judas Priest: Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath with Dio on Vocals): motorhead:

You sure "bristow" is not a typo? I found the place using google earth, but I can't imagine there being a nissan pavillion there. Unless it was a woodstock type deal.
Did you perhaps mean Bristol?

7800 Cellar Door Dr, Bristow, VA” (google map it)
It's alot closer to Gainesville (Just east of Manassas), about a mile south east on Wellington Rd, from the intersection of Hwy 29 and I-66.

big place, that. So it is a woodstock type thing, although perhaps much more closer to a red rocks.

Hey Cavediver! I ws at that sigur Ros gig. Cool! Where were you? Wife and I were down the front, right in front of Jonsi. I then snuck on the guest list for Alexandra Palace, on the 21st. They added in Glosoli as second track, making a great set list even better! And I managed to get an introduction to Jonsi afterwards at the drinks And I completely failed to appear cool and unfazed Bournemouth though - what a shitehole

Oh man. I love red rocks. It was much cooler when you could climb the rocks surronding the ampitheater though.

Even I have, and I'm 26.Woodstock of course i have heard of woodstock, it was that big concert in 1969 that had all those crappy bands my parents listened to (and made me listen too when i was a kid). I just didn't catch what he was saying about the venue we were talking about in Northern Virginia. Woodstock to me was just a big field, where there was a 3 day concert one summer in the 60s. I never heard of red rocks. but yeah the nissan pavillion is a big ampitheater. i think kuresu's question was the venue a big ampitheater or not, and it was. music is a great topic, unfourtunately we dont discuss it enough around here.

I don't know. I'm 33 years old, I was born in 1975 well after Woodstock, that music should cross age barriers.
